I thought the end of July was the cutoff, but maybe I was wrong.
Geary has certainly performed well in the VFL the last few weeks from all reports, and maybe it is just the coach saying to him "well done" and indicating that he will be promoted next year ....
Good sign though. Personally, I felt Eddy was ahead of Geary, but hopefully both will be on our list next season.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

teams have still been putting players on LTI each week and upgrading as well- maybe thats one rule thats been relaxed
would he be upgraded for Attard- can you upgrade for an upgrade- although gardiner wasn't replaced

I am pretty sure it is to late for a rookie upgrade. Maybe he was upgraded for Gardiner before the cut off and we just didnt hear about it or is he just on as a reward with no hope of plying which I doubt.saintbrat wrote:teams have still been putting players on LTI each week and upgrading as well- maybe thats one rule thats been relaxed

Clint Jones is on the list for Gardiner and Attard was on for Goddard. Hamill is on the LTI list but no one was elevated so maybe thats how Geary becomes an emergency. Kick in the guts to Armitage though, no matter who played better for Casey...............Thommo was the first named best player, wasnt he!!??

has some useful information- couldn't find a date for upgrading rookies BUT cut off for putting onto LTI is rd 18. at that point saints had Goddard, Hamill and Gardiner on LTI. with only two upgraded.- Attard and Jones

you said if a player gets injured then a rookie can come in jayden attard got injuredausfatcat wrote:I thought you could elevate for long term injury at any time. The obvious thing is Attard out and Geary in for Hamill. as said earlier the WCE player was just elevated last week so it must be possible.
