Its more like who from Richmond is going to play on Maguire, because he is our weak link at the moment. He is a real liability at present, only a shadow of the player from last year. To be fair he has had a bad injury which will take a lot of time to fully recover from. If Maguire gets Richo then we have got the matchup wrong, that is what Wallace will want.

Was a pretty indicative game of where both Lynch and Maguire are at right now.HarveysDeciple wrote:Big day for Maguire on Richo if thats the way it goes.

Against most Full Forwards, if you keep them from marking the ball inside 50, you'll get away with it if they command the ball out further. If you allow Lynch the ball inside of 65, he's taking the shot, and a good chance. IIRC, Lynch kicked 3 from the 50-65 range. Normally I'd expect Maguire to be able to hold his own to the extent that Lynch would be taking his wild 70m punts that look good if they go through, but are very low % plays... it was a good matchup in theory that Lynch won hands down.
Richo has that same long bomb ability, so it will be interesting to see what the matchup is. Richo beat Fisher last time, so I'd give Goose another go, but be ready with the change if necessary... on the upside, while Richo is a very good leading, very strong key forward, he plays a lot of the Riewoldt game of run the man off his legs, and Goose generally fares well with that, and it will affect Richo's accuracy.
