Yeah, because top four is only the difference between having a realistic shot at a premiership or making up the numbers, right?mad saint guy wrote:I think the Pies aren't too concerned with this game.
A final vs Geelong at the MCG - read: home Collingwood final for a spot in a Preliminary final, again at home - is massive motivation.
To say anything else is either foolish, or just plan stupid.
Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

This needs to happen for Collingwood to make the top 4evertonfc wrote:Yeah, because top four is only the difference between having a realistic shot at a premiership or making up the numbers, right?

Collingwood beat Adelaide (possible)
Hawthorn lose to Sydney (possible)
Kangaroos lose to Bulldogs (highly unlikely)
They have next to no chance of making the top 4. Adelaide is playing for a finals spot and to give the club's best ever player a fitting send-off.
Hawthorn is playing for a top 4 position (just need to win and they are guaranteed a spot providing that the Kangaroos don't win by about 180 points).
The Kangaroos are also playing for a spot in the top 4 against a team that has been crap all year.
But the pies wouldnt want to lose either as there is a big chance they will then play the crows again the week after coming off a loss.mad saint guy wrote:This needs to happen for Collingwood to make the top 4evertonfc wrote:Yeah, because top four is only the difference between having a realistic shot at a premiership or making up the numbers, right?

Im not so sure playing the Crows again after resting the odd player at the Dome where their record isnt the best - 0-2 this year would worry the Pies to be honest.
I mean for this to occur Adelaide would travel twice AND face Collingwood (full side) MCG where they like it.
That said...IF Chris Grant retired.........I would nto put it past the Dogs for a send off............
The question for Collingwood is - Can they afford to NOT play to win in the event other results DO go their way?????
Crows look to strong for me and have a knack in big games.....love to be wrong though.......and often are so let the trend continue!!!

At least the Collingwood game is first so we will know.
Imagine the empty feeling if our game was first.
Then if we beat Richmond you would walk away not knowing if you should be happy or sad.
Just a hollow feeling of not knowing.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Pies by 1 point...followed by a 3 point win to the Saints over the Tigers...and a few more grey hairs and a " truckload "of celebratary beer Saturday night
Never take a backward step even to gain momentum.....
