Meanwhile, St Kilda play Richmond this week - anyone going?
Just thought I might sneak a thread in about the Saints game this week ...
I know this is a Collingwood forum, but I thought that we should perhaps keep an eye on how St Kilda play??
Keeping it mind that could be the last time Robert Harvey and Fraser Gehrig play for St Kilda, so I reckon it should be a reasonable game.
Tigers have hit a bit of form, and seem to have got their run and carry going.
Changes for the Saints?
OUT: J. Attard (inj), M. Clarke
IN: R. Harvey, A. Thompson
Blake can do the ruckwork, as the Tigers only have Pattison as their ruckman and then a pinch-hitter.
Thommo in his farewell game deserves a super-effort from fans and players alike.
Anyway, forgive me for interrupting all the talk about Collingwood and Adelaide ...

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Good changes but Voss must go. Not sure if we have anyone to come in for him.Oh When the Saints wrote:Just thought I might sneak a thread in about the Saints game this week ...

Give you the hot tip for future plans Fonzie...fonz_#15 wrote:i won't be there unless i can fake a sickie at work
If you ever want a few days off work in succesion in short notice.... Faking food poisoning is the key. Beside the obvious decitefull downside, it's the perfect idea, short notice, very bad sympots that can keep you out for days
Ill hopefully be there If I dont have to much work, or study to do. Poor excuse I know, but it is VCE

I thought Vossy deserved a farewell game too ... it is probably likely that this is his last year, although I'm not sure.
Even so, it would be nice if he could play with Thommo in his last match ...

If you want a day off hang around a clinic in Ivanhoe you may get some sickie certificate in the gutter.Saint Corin wrote:Give you the hot tip for future plans Fonzie...fonz_#15 wrote:i won't be there unless i can fake a sickie at work

I hope you're right about a farwell game for Thomo !!
I hope he is fit for the finals... his experience and toughness may be something needed in the finals.
he can continue playing even if he has been 'farewelled'...i think

Thommo said he is retiring and felt he wasn't enough of a 'name' to have to announce it;
I think he is wrong- anyone who plays 200+ games for a club has every right to 'Make an Announcement."
heard Archer say the same- felt he had made it plain he wasn't going on- But people still ask.

I am flying down from Canberra for it.
Have to attend given the possibility of any one of numerous greats leaving the team at seasons end. And then if we do go on, I get to see us make the finals.
...And if we do make it into the finals and through to the semi's work is sending me down so I will just make a deviation.
Will probably deviate to one of the finals irrespective and if we aren't in it go for the opponents of my more hated side.
