Port Adelaide showing why pressure is the key ingredient
Port Adelaide have just finished an awesome quarter of football against the Cats, and are 19 points in front at three-quarter time.
Why?
Pressure and intensity.
They are playing with the same pressure and intensity as St Kilda did in the first half against the Eagles.
Will the Power win?
Maybe not.
They dominated the quarter, but missed 3-4 critical opportunities. They should be five goals in front.
Much like St Kilda they failed to capitalise on their chances .... we kicked 4.5 to 5.1 against West Coast ... if the Power can take their chances in the last quarter, they will win.
Want to beat the good sides? Two ingredients:
1. Pressure and intensity
2. Taking your opportunities

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Will reserve judgment until this quarter is over
St Kilda has an unhappy knack in 2007 of building a 3-4 goal lead and being knocked off
Interesting to see whether Port has the bottle to keep attacking and win

Hopefully what this loss will do will instill a bit of self doubt into the Cats as I think they have Brissie next week which will be no mean feat. Another loss up there and further self doubt will exist.
No Bartel and Ling definately upset their balance. To have a settled line up for so long I believe has been the reason for their outstanding season.

hahahahaha suck din geelong! This definitely instils "choking"
Port are finals specialist, most of the time they produce the goods (ie 2004). The cats are lot younger and not use to games deep in september so hopefully they fall over!
My geelong friend throughout the season kept texting my "bad luck on the lose" i thinking i should rub it in for all its worth considering we lost in a tight one on friday too!

Three minor premierships for one flag makes them home and away season specialists, I'd venture!
Port have won six of the 14 finals they have played in (43%).
Putting aside their premiership season, 2004, they have won just three of 11 (27%).
Hardly finals specialists.
