Was doing a little bit of research to see how our opponents went the week after playing us.
Some food for thought anyway.......

Round 3 defeated Bulldogs. Bulldogs Round 4 - WON 32 points over Richmond.
Round 4 lost to Essendon. Essendon Round 5 - LOST 16 points to Collingwood.
Round 5 lost to Port Adelaide. Port Adelaide Round 6 - WON 5 points over Melbourne
Round 6 defeated Carlton. Carlton Round 7 - LOST 24 points to Collingwood
Round 7 defeated Sydney. Sydney Round 8 - WON 31 points over Port Adelaide
Round 8 lost to Hawthorn. Hawthorn Round 9 - WON 35 points over West Coast

I think, if anything, it actually shows how weak most of our wins have been.
To narrowly beat a 'good' team that goes on to lose to an average side doesn't say much for their form.
There haven't been many wins this season that I've taken confidence in - our opponents have often shown themselves to be in a slump when we've beaten them, and I'm not sure you can say we caused the slump by beating them when it is just as likely that it was their slump that allowed us to win.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.
