Inconsistency is St.Kilda's problem which incorporates everything from game plans, player performance and the whole kit and kaboodle. Its just St Kilda being St.Kilda like it or not. We yet again see glimpses of brilliance followed by substandard performance and then glimpses of brilliance from our beloved Saints. Below is some of the "topsy turvy" results in 2007.
Western Bulldogs R3 win by 50; R18 Draw (after a 30 odd point lead)
Sydney Swans R5 win by 26; R19 Lose by 17
Hawthorn R8 Lose by 28; R16 Win by 17
Fremantle R9 Lose by 46; R20 Win by 30
West Coast R12 Win by 23; R21 Lose by 8 (after a 30 odd point lead)
Collingwood R14 Lose by 9 (after a 20 odd point lead) yet defeat Adelaide in Adelaide R15 by 2 points.
Results like this give an appreciation as to why many Saint Supporters like myself get cheesed off with the club but for those who have been around along time this is not unchartered territory for us and hence why we stand by them. (Buy a membership for 2008) There is no point in blaming the AFL or Umpires or Injuries, the responsibility is one of the club ie coach and players.
All I wish for is sometime during my lifetime or to sound less selfish for all St.Kilda supporter's lifetime is to see St.Kilda win a Premiership. It took us 93 years to win one premiership please let our second one be sooner. Go Saints!

the inconsistency comes with a new coach, gameplan and some underdone players in the 1st half of the year.
we carried a lot of players through the early part of the season, and inconsistency now has cost us any chance of being a finals threat (regardless of whether or not we make it).
