Scott Burns, a breath of fresh air!
Just listening to Scott Burns on SEN (Doran's show) and the difference between him and FIGJAM is unbelievable.
He sounds honest, forthright, articulate and level-headed.
He surely must be an aberation - no Filth player should sound so sensible?
His take on Bakes/Farmer
How can the Tribunal even take evidence from a Freo official. No official, trainer, runner etc from the club of the offended player should be listened to. The only non-involoved able to give evidence should be officials of the AFL, everyone else has club bias.
Compare that to FIGJAM last night
ALso, Johnson deserved to go for his hit on Bell - he thought 4 weeks but understands the penalty given.
When a Filth Follower's sms complaining about Rowe only getting 1 week was read out, his reply - Rowe actually got 2 weeks and Johnsons was deemd to be worse than Rowe's.
All in all a very balanced view of the incidents.
I cannot believe I just complimented a Filth player

has always come across as a smart mature player. Type of player that you have to give respect. Smart operator, especially from someone so close to the coal face

always been a fan of burns, despite playing for the filth.
as for buckley, he lost a lot of my respect yesterday. i was listening to NOVA on the way to work, and he was comparing the incident to the Matthews/Bruns incident. Talk about a wanker. He has absolutely no facts to back that up with. And then the hear that on SEN he said it was more serious that the Johnson hit, an absolute joke.
I don't care if these guys are champions, they need to be more careful when opening their mouths. As far as ready made coach, he has a long was to go IMO.

I saw that and was really impressed, especially given what had happened that night.SENsaintsational wrote:Scott Burns is a quality bloke.
Did you see him hand the ball to Neitz on Friday night? Quality.
It was refreshing to see him show some respect to another clubs legend on what was essentially his milestone night.
Burns is a class act.
And his comments on Johnson are accurate.
And it makes a nice change to hear some actual common sense come out of the Lexus Centre, rare as that my be !!!
