big statement to put the childs life on it, i will hold you to itWinmarvellous wrote:Not going to reveal my source, but very much wants to go to Brisbane. Will put my childs life on it
as for the subject, doesn't surprise me as many have surpassed him in importance in the eagles midfield and he even struggled to come back after injury at a stage earlier in the season.
He is an above average midfielder but in a rolls royce midfield, his talent is not fulfilled.

3rd in 2003 with Gardiner gifting the ball to him in the ruck.fonz_#15 wrote:i'd say a late 2nd round.SaintBot wrote:only 28! wow...thought he was a few years over that.
Worth a 2nd-3rd round pick.
Would be in our 22 for sure.
was 3rd in 2003 b&f and 2nd in 2004 so he c an play a bit.

seems to be more in the fiora mould with slightly more class and a bit more toughness, having said that i would still welcome him to the club should it not:skeptic wrote:we need fast midfielders and tough enforcer midfielders
whilst a good player I don't think he excells at either categories
a) jeapordise the development of younger mids i.e armo, mini
b) come at an expensive price i.e higher than late 2nd round pick or a GOP.

spot on. i rate him pretty highly, and at a new club he would have an agenda to show the eagles he shoukd not be overlooked.evertonfc wrote:Our third round pick, definitely. Maybe a late 2nd if we could get our hands on one.
I'd love to see him with us. He'd have a massive, massive point to prove in 2008 to show he's still got it.

Depends on the circumstance, Dan.Dan Warna wrote:i thought we were against topping up?!!??!?!?
An All-Australian with something to prove who's wages will be low and available for a lowly pick, well below his potential value?
Has pace, great disposal and would walk into our first 22?
Gimme gimme gimme that thing.
But if you're saying we should top up with 33-year old midfielders who are finished, then no, that would be stupid.
Case by case is the key. There's no blanket rule. By and large, go for youth, but if the case warrants it, exceptions can be made.
