Never seen a bigger certainty than the Cats ...
Geez Geelong are good.
The Kangaroos were playing great footy, running their guts out, throwing everything at Geelong ..... and the Cats just put the afterburners on, kick 6 in a row and game over.
They are a sensational side. Like 'em or not, they will win the flag this year.
I can see the Swans and maybe the Eagles get within 3-4 goals, but that's about it.
Their fitness, work-rate, confidence and intensity is just outstanding.
Their footy is easily as good as the Lions at their peak, and as good as the Bombers of '00 IMO.
They are so far above any other team it's almost a joke.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

Same personnel as last year.
They'll fall over come finals.
Pretty smart at Docklands and at Geelong.
The accountability of finals football at the MCG is entirely different.
So when a few, starting from Mooney and Ottens, crack under sustained pressure they'll be shown as the front runners they are.
Come Grand Final day some on their list will be sitting in the front room's of their parent's homes watching on the home entertainment plasma that comes with such houses.
The rest will be watching in a pub somewhere.

It's good to see all of us pumping up the pussies.
That's what they need now....lift the lid....think they are premiers in August.
Can't wait for the finals and see them shyte themselves due to the home town inbred feral pressure!

Interesting to note as somebody puts the squeeze on them, they drop right off.
Had that mark been rightly paid to Leigh Brown, it was a 50/50 ball game with 10 minutes to play.
I'd be very, very surprised to see them make the GF and reckon they're a reasonable chance of going out in straight sets.
They could well end up facing West Coast in the first week of the finals at the MCG. Dare I say it, but that's suicide for the Cats.
That could well shoot their confidence, and whoever they'd be facing the next week - it could be us - would be extremely confident of knocking them out cold.
I think they're playing great downhill footy right now - we'll see what happens when other teams lift their game in September. Not sure how they'll respond.

jeez don't know what games you have been watching, geelong should be about even money to win the flag
they have the best defence in the comp
the best midfield , maybe
multiple goal kickers
great rucks
huge depth
and enough hard bodies to win finals (mooney, scarlett, chapman, ling, g ablett)
i hope the saints get there of course, but on form they are certainties
but it this way, tell me why and who can beat them

"Dead set cert"? No such thing in this world.
Cats are virtually untried and untested in Finals football, when it won't matter how many games they have won in a row.
Not saying they aren't the best right now, or that they won't win the Flag, but I'll wait until the final siren at the GF before I declare anyone a winner.

I honestly thought up to half time in our game against them when we had the pressure on them they cracked a little. Had we decided to actually kick straight and also include some scoreboard pressure in the mix I reckon it would have been very interesting.
They have Selwood now who really adds to their midfield and a super defence but they are beatable IMO

As they say, once your in the finals, what you did in the home and away season counts for nothing. While the cats are looking really good at this stage, finals footy is played with 5 times more desperation and intensity. We'll just have to see whether they can maintain their game in such an atmosphere.
Trust the Midas Touch
