looked good
his straight line speed looks to be coming back.
did watch him run with the ball a bit and saw someone trying to tackle him was a bit like a putting a witches hat in front of a semi trailer, I dont think he even noticed it, before hoofing it to the forward line.
can't remember the outcome of the kick, but he did look good in the air and on the ground.
s. fisher also took some nice defencive grabs.

Seemed better than the last couple of weeks.
Interesting to hear after the game that when interviewed on radio, he said he was back to 95% fitness and that there were "no excuses" now.
Apart from losing a bit of speed (which can be regained over the pre-season), hopefully Goose can start stepping up to make the impact we know he is capable of at his best ....

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.
actually i thought he did look fast (maybe not back to his johncock running down pace) but he showed some hoof yesterday.
alternatively it could have been the purple prats so terrified they were pretending to run fast so as not to get bludgeoned to the death by tank boy
(jeez he looks pumped)

i'm far from sold on goose
as far as i can see, he is our weakest link at the moment...
panics in 1-on-1s too much, gives away frees as well...
i say weakest link because he will be playing on a gun in a dangerous position, as opposed to a bench/midfielder type
he is a worry for mine
obviously he's improving, but i am nervous about his opponent almost every time

I feel the same over these matters.carn_sainter wrote:i'm far from sold on goose

He's a fair way from his best atm, but our weakest link!
There are at least 5 players who regularly panic in pressure situation alot more often than the Goose.
If you are strictly talking about key defenders you might be right as we only have 2 now Max is out and Sam Fisher is probably pushing for AA selection. Goose is still capable of looking after the best CHFs in the comp.
He does give away a few too many frees atm, he's averaging 2 a game this year, equal 3rd in the comp. This he could improve on, apart from this he's travelling pretty well IMO.
