looking at it, if brisbane win the ladder becomes VERY tight. Sydney would be only half a game ahead of us with two tough games to come.
So in some sense we could still gain if brisbane do win.

"Another storied win in Robert Harvey's career. They say he is the embodiment of their motto of strength through loyalty, and on the day he became just the tenth man to play 350 league games the saints reward him with a seemingly impossible victory."
As far as I gather, it means a second spot in the 8 becomes available, but it also means there's some daylight between us and Brisbane (with Brisbane ahead of us)saintdooley wrote:true, but we would rather the swans to win?????Solar wrote:looking at it, if brisbane win the ladder becomes VERY tight. 49% good for us, 51% bad for us...we're only in the hunt for eighth, realistically...
And this keeps Brisbane in it, although they have a tough draw - that's the key thing.
To be honest, their % was so much better than ours it was worth 2 points, so it shouldn't affect us too much, but still...not great...

Nah, it's as good as a Sydney win.
Means the Lions have to beat Adelaide and Geelong to make the 8.
If they had won, they could have dropped one and still been ahead of us on %.
So if we go 1-1 over the next two weeks, we should stay ahead of the Lions.
But you are right, it really only leaves us in the running for 8th spot.

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.
