The duck on the footy show????
What is he thinking sometimes seems to shoot off the mouth without thinking most of the time.
Although i think it was funny i would hate to be in his shoes trying to justify his comments about Thommo and the bit about necking himself was going to far once again, how does a tosser like him get so much air time.
Footy crapifeid will be interesting tonight see if Hutchy has got any sinkers and have a crack at him about it
What a FARKWIT the duck is

The duck having a crack at him about being at the races was funny IMO and he was funny when he said why is he punting when he has depression, but as i said the bit about necking himself was going to far.
Like i said i would hate to be in his shoes at the moment

Where does Jeff Kennett stand on this ?
He is chairman of "Beyond Blue".
But he is also chairman of Hawthorn.
But
when they saw the chance to unload the "troubled" Thompson on an unsuspecting North they couldn't dump him quick enough.
Hypocrites ?

Hopefully he was wearing that Brown and Gold jacket as the North honchos were poised to sign the transfer papers
- because he would have been sh1tting and p1ssing himself.
And then when they signed and he realised he had just unloaded a worthless dud, the jacket would have come in handy again
- as he p1ssed and sh1tted himself laughing.

Carey has done and said some moronic things in his time, however this time he has gone way too far.
Those comments were highly offensive IMO, I for one will not watch or listenen to anything involving Carey from now on.
Someone extremely close to me lost their battle with depression in January, so to hear those comments made me angry beyond belief.
For him to regain any sort of credibililty as a human being he would have to do some serious work with Beyond Blue or something like that, an apology would not be enough IMO.
To bag Nathan Thompson like that about something that he cannot help is disgraceful at best. By doing so he's gone and kicked everyone in the guts who suffers with depression or who is effected by by it.

My work had a fundraising BBQ for bigblue last week, on the anniversary of a workmate who took her own life.
Jeff Kennett was the guest and spoke about the BigBlue organisation. I never thought Id hear myself say this, but he was pleasant, erudite, humorous and moving. Life away from politics sees a far different JGK than the one who ran our state. His speech for me was a genuine eye-opener. I sought him out and warmly thanked him afterwards without even a thought of berating him for his terms as Premier heheh
Wayne Carey, for the good of humanity, the part of your brain that lets you think about anything outside of AFL Football tactics should be surgically removed. You are a tool of the highest order. Morals of a rutting goat and life skills to match.

Well that was obviously a good display of Waynes character.Teflon wrote:your carrying on like he tried to shag his best mates misus or something...
classy guy Wayno....
That action hurt those involved and to a lesser degree (in the grander scheme of things) the North Melbourne FC and its fans.
What he said the other day would have insulted and hurt thousands of people.
I'll be honest..after hearing what he had to say I'd find it very difficult to believe he'd have moved Nathan THompson on just because his illness put him in the "too hard" basket.Enrico_Misso wrote:Saint66au,
you should have asked Boofhead how good it felt to unload a depression victim on another club !

Might we also add that Nathan Thompson seemed rejuvenated and prior to his knee injury he had been excellent for the Kangaroos.saint66au wrote:I'll be honest..after hearing what he had to say I'd find it very difficult to believe he'd have moved Nathan THompson on just because his illness put him in the "too hard" basket.Enrico_Misso wrote:Saint66au,

Just remember folks, this is the guy who:
Grabbed the breast of a woman on King street and then made derogatory comments about her to her face
Shagged the wife of a team mate while he was captain of the club
Presented himself to a magistrate as a character witness for gangster Carl Williams in a court case a few years back
He has an outstanding track record as a man of impeccable character...need we be surprised? However, channel 9 should also be held to account for employing him in the first place. It just shows that if you're a top sports person, you can get away with plenty in this town and there'll still be people in high places who'll keep writing the cheques.

On the Duck issue - at least he spoke his mind and it was spin free - that I see as a positive......problem is that it showed him us a bigger Duckhead than any of us could've imagined!!!
