Like most players probably a bit sore but I think he is just out of form nothing more or less.

Didn't seem to be affected last week.

This crap comes up once every couple of weeks. Its pretty annoying, honestly, as a down week dosen't instantly mean a player is injured. :x

not at all ric

Im a Gram convert

I love watching him play.

definately a gem on the run.

he certainly had a purple patch of exhilarating form, wouldn't mind seeing some of it in the next few weeks.

He certainly isn't doing as much as he was early in the year, but I'd put that down to a combination of niggling injuries, more opposition accountability and a role change (basically playing as the third tall defender).

Since his position has been swapped with Sam Fisher, he's playing a lot less attacking than he used to be.

I believe the switch was made to make his opponent become more accountable for Gram's actions, and negating his own impact a little. It hasn't succeeded imo.

yeah I noticed we have removed s. fisher who was very good as a defencive defender into the free man in defence with little impact, and gram who was an attacking player who could cut a swathe through the midfield into a negative defender.

I can't understand why one of our genuinely fast players is being gimped in the context of the game unless 1. hes injured or 2. hes being 'educated'

either way 2 or 3 gram goal assists a game as he carries the ball through the guts could have helped us in the past few weeks ><

Since Maguire has come back, the whole structure of the backline has changed.

It has freed up S Fisher, who has done a great job of providing run out of the backline.

However, I don't understand why Gram hasn't been released onto the wing, or on the ball as an outside receiver.

We have enough GOPs [L Fisher, Baker etc] to take smalls in the backline.

Gilbert on one wing, Gram on the other I say!!!

Well, he was always going to find it hard to find room. Just look at Sammy Fisher. They managed to cut him out the game as well. The way the game was being played it was important to stop the wuick run from half-back so they paid a fair bit of attention to him. I don't think we handled it that well and we definately needed to try bring him and Fish into the game. However, even with 12 possessions he manages to have an impact.

I reckon Grammy was playing sore between 2-5 weeks ago. Has been moving more freely in the past couple of weeks. I reckon it may have been some sort of back injury, not bad enough to put him out of the side but enough to limit his output.

Many players go through similar situations/niggles around this time of year. Grammy appears to be on his way out the other side. Lets hope so anyway !!

well he did have the "flu" earlier in the year which could still be effecting him

grammy hasn't played his best games recently but he can do no wrong imo

I think you are 100% right about the 2-5 weeks bit. He pulled up very short in the 3rd or 4th Q of the match over here against the eagles & really struggled for the rest of that match & the following few weeks as well. I actually asked him about it after the game & he wisely just said "I'll be fine"

(I see you are developing a TM Eastern  )
