I thought Wilke was in the top handful of defenders in the comp this season, and should have been in the AA team. As for Battle, well he works for another club now and we move on from here.

When they announced the top 3 in B&F Wilkie and Sincs went up to to the platform but no sign of Battle or mention of his absence.

According to a footy journo on twitter..Battle was told not to attend and we are copping shite for that.

i thought marshall would win it too.
all the others seemed reasonably in the right place.

I suspect Marshall didn't poll as well as many expected because of him generally being beaten in his role as a tap ruckman,
especially at centre bounces.

When they announced the criteria for receiving votes it was stressed, from memory, about carrying out all their roles to the maximum, or words to that effect.
