Re: sad news
Old time poster here.
I am devastated at the passing of Gary.
Gary was the kindest, most unselfish and caring man I have ever known.
On arrival at SS all those years ago, he took me under his wing.
He loved Saintsational and all his friends, this was his home.
We've all lost a true salt of the earth.
Not sure I'll ever get over not seeing his smile again.
Anyone that knew him personally will never get over his untimely passing.

Is it reasonable to ask how Gaz passed, or is it private?bark-n-yell wrote: ↑Mon 16 Sep 2024 11:35pm Old time poster here.

Re: sad news
All of his posts were short, pithy, relevant, intelligent.
He said in a few words, what would take the rest of us many paragraphs.
Always entertaining.

Shocking news ... so sorry to hear and my condolences to all that knew him personally.
He was a fun part of the old furniture here at SS and his offbeat musings and humor always hit the mark ... he will be truly missed

Re: sad news
Gary may be gone, rest in peace Gary.
But As U, I. Will forever belong here.
Gaz is part of the fabric that ties us together.
His friendship to me over the past few years has been life changing for me, yet he remained unchanged by the exchange. A truly selfless soul. A unique man.
A tribute to my friend. The 4th dimension awaits you.

Oh s***! Sad to hear! Usually enjoyed his posts and appeared to be a good bloke. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 14 Sep 2024 1:41pm it is with great regret and a heavy heart that I must inform everyone of the passing of a fellow forumite and staunch Saints supporter.
Asiu or Gaz who passed away 10 days ago.
Those that knew him personally as I did found him to be a ripper selfless bloke.
Condolences to family.
Rest in peace Gaz.
Re: sad news
I am gutted to have learned this news today.
gaz. Mate. Met him, enjoyed his company, enjoyed his online company, kept each other's counsel on Saints and fan forums. Tried to help him see a middle ground sometimes when he'd blow his top. Feel very sad that I hadn't spoken to him since May.
RIP gaz with the small g but the big heart.

Poster formerly known as SENsaintsational. More wisdom. More knowledge. Less name.

Given gas was a spiritual guy, and into astrology.
I wonder if he was born in 1960 (year of the rat), hence the ‘gazrat’ title?

Re: sad news
Bugger! He was a really good poster, the kind every forum needs to keep things interesting. Funny, cryptic and a wonderful piss-taker.
He and I once had a great conversation about higher dimensions and the afterlife. So if you're now in the 5th dimension, Gaz, where we agreed human consciousness resides while awaiting reincarnation, have a word with those higher dimension beings (6-11), who are capable of anything, how about you get one of them to manufacture us a premiership?
Stuff that, get us lots of them. Rest, but then get busy before you come back. Vale, old boy.

Re: sad news
Thanks to everyone who has suggested ideas for an SS honour roll and PM’d me with ideas.
I’m going to run with this shortly.
Unfortunately I’m laid out at the moment having just gotten back from England following a 3 week “holiday” and getting Covid on the flight back. Nicest thing about the whole trip was watching the last quarter of the Geelong v Brisbane match on the plane and watching the Cats get scuttled out so dramatically.
Have logged on occasionally and responded to the odd thing but have been less courteous than usual so apologies if you reached out and I’ve not responded.
