The AFL doesn't exist to serve traditional footy fans in Melbourne. All the Victorian teams voted for expansion.

They get a leg up to promote Aussie rules in the Northern States.

The AFL is a multi $$Billion business. It maximises profits for all their advertisers and for the broadcasters when NSW and QLD clubs are doing well.

Next year it'll be the same thing about Collingwood and how they get an advantage with big crowds and big occasion matches at the MCG....but hopefully Collingwood are struggling like they did this year...and we won't have to hear more of CURLY's crying

Read the posts again, DK. I know comprehension and literacy are not your strengths, but I see these posts as showing respect and admiration for the Brions and their coach.

If you're just posting your usual rubbish just to have a go at me, as per your usual modus operandi (look that up DK), check out my other posts in which I express my hope that we follow a similar path
to theirs in the rebuilding of our list and club.

The fact is we are expected to compete on a clearly not level playing field.

All on here blaming our coaches or drafting, culture etc

The simple fact is we start with an AFL imposed handicap.

But it’s the rules. Rules that allows sons to play at the same club as their fathers - which I like

Academy kids get to stay in their home (northern/non traditional) state at the club that developed them.

On both occasions bids are made by opposing clubs and the points value has to be matched by Brisbane - which I also liked

Owens was drafted by another club, we matched and took him. Windhager the same.

Minnow clubs like St Kilda are now practically f***ed with the Northern Academy concessions, father-sons, etc. Then there is Tasmania coming in.

We literally have no hope of even making a GF anytime soon, let alone winning one.

Is that a whinge? Maybe, but it's also the cold hard reality.

The AFL will reveal its hand with the Battle compensation about how serious they are about helping us. I'm not holding my breath.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

There is a lot of loser mentality throughout a chunk of St Kilda supporters.

Over the last 25 years every club has played in a GF (except ironically the Suns, the most ‘assisted’ club) which is signs of a very balanced competition.
