Dan Hannebery’s body was rooted

No indication that Jack’s body isn’t sound

Cheers Tony.

Who do you think takes Battle's spot?

Agree on JM, but my point was more aimed at giving away a pick.

We gave up a 2nd round pick and something extra from memory for DH.

Swans must have been pissing themselves laughing at getting draft collateral on top of a salary dump.

Obviously I'm not Tony but wasn't Schoenmaker drafted as a defender.

For Dan Hannebery we swapped pick 31 for 39

So slid 8 positions in the draft

That selection we got Josh Battle

So the trade cost nothing and the pick we received we drafted well

Only problem was his contract length and Salary - 800K for 5

That’s impossible.

Battle was drafted in 2016.

Hannebery joined the club after the 2018 season.

We traded pick 39 and our 2019 2nd rounder for Dan Hannebery and Pick 28.

We then traded pick 28 to Melbourne for picks 36 & 46. Those picks slid to 41 & 47, with which we selected Jack Bytel & Matthew Parker.

Sydney used their pick 39 (slid to 44) to select Justin McInerney.

Sydney selected Elijah Taylor with our 2019 2nd rounder.

All in all, we traded Justin McInerney & Elijah Taylor for Dan Hannebery, Jack Bytel & Matthew Parker.

Interestingly, Sydney selected Chad Warner three picks after Taylor. Warner & McInerney will play in a Grand Final this week, while Hannebery, Bytel & Parker have long since left the Saints.

The pick we traded (28) to Melbourne was used for James Jordan who will also most likely play on Saturday.

Ivan Soldo will allegedly request a trade to St Kilda tomorrow. Not sure how I feel about this one.

Sam De Koning appears to be a potential target according to Jon Ralph. Would be a huge get but would cost a lot as he is contracted.

I would give Geelong our pick 24 this year and a first rounder next year with something coming back plus De Koning he would be a 10 year player for us and we don't often get the opportunity to get a player like him so stop at nothing to get him.

With all these supposed trades and what not, you wonder how many good Saints players will stick around. I wish players were more loyal. What would people think if Sinclair asked for a trade?

They wouldn't, he would have to force the trade. Wont happen, we can only dream.

Tom Morris said on 9 news tonight St Kilda made an offer to Leek Aleer.

It was a six-year deal on a figure in the range of $800,000 per season. The 194-centimetre defender has played
just 12 senior games across three years after being the No. 15 draft pick in 2021, but he played a career-best eight matches this season.

Aleer said No Thanks.

Will we pick up a player in the SSP window :?:

Salary cap space to accommodate Oliver and Smith?

Then Aleer has no brains.

Yeah not just cap space but picks also. Still think it is no real chance but an interesting one to play out how they could manage to get both.

I feel like the dogs start at around two firsts+ for Smith and Melbourne probably want a first and a bit for Oliver given he is still 27, but with his baggage they might be lucky to get that.

So the fool that is Clayton Oliver (how long since he played a decent game) has claimed another scalp, score so far: President Roffy, CEO Pert, nearly Petracca, nearly Coach Goowin; the man is a wrecking ball. Why the heck do otherwise seemingly sensible people indulge him - to their great cost. Beats me, he doesn't seem fun to have around or share downtime with. Odd?

I don’t know if I shared this story…

But my mate, we will call him Joe (not his real name), was out on the town. It was either in Richmond or Prahran. Basically saw Clayton Oliver doing sugar boogers / nose beers in the men’s toilet during the mid year byes. He then saw a random male start filming Clarry with his phone. Clarry then grabbed the blokes phone and smashed it on the ground, stomped on it and completely destroyed the phone. That’s the kind of wrecking ball twat he is.

The foot injury was another good one. I know one of the massage ladies down at Melbourne. She literally transferred to North Melbourne because of the s*** going down at Melbourne. She said Clayton Oliver was in hospital with his foot injury with a staph infection because he decided to inject drugs in his feet. Club had to try and hide his return by saying he had a hamstring complaint. Total bulldust. I hope the club rots.

That will be a good development position for him, hopefully at some point he has the game to fill a key defender role.

His defensive game cant be any worse than Bonners thats for sure. I havent seen an AFL player so averse to physical contact as Bonner for a long long time.
