Re: James Peatling
Late second round to early third round pick. No more than that. Often see second tier mids enter a classy midfield and do well. Opposition would be putting all their work into Tom Green and co and not paying much attention to Peatling. Which isn't to say the kid isn't a player.
Would be a savvy recruit if we don't pay overs.

We don’t have a late second round, early third round pick
We have pick 6 & 24 as it stands
Not willing to part with either

Re: James Peatling
Would you swap out 2nd with GWS second (assuming they have one) for Peatling?

>>>Brunswicksainter
>>>GWS now clearly rate him ahead of Kelly and Cogs, he is getting more mid rotation time and CBA’s
really?
Cognilio has been injured and missed the last four games …played three before that after missing another four
Josh Kelly back last week after missing five through injury

Re: James Peatling
No because I want Cooper Hynes or Christian Moraes at pick 24
This is a deep draft
Players from the top 30 are as good as 10-20
Hit the Draft!!!
Secure the future
Do you think Peatling will be the difference between 14th and top 4 next year or the one after?!

No. No way. 12 possessions today...5 kicks and 7 handpasses...no marks.
Just a very ordinary on-baller I fear.

They certainly don't need another plodder. Move on.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Bump
It will be a minor coup for St Kilda if we beat Collingwood in the race for this guy. A few clubs showing interest.

Re: James Peatling
Of those players who have been linked to St Kilda as potential trades, I'm probably liking Peatling the most.
He's in the right age bracket, and I'm of the view he's already a good midfielder and with potential to get better. Perhaps I'm being a bit romantic, but Jack Steele was a GWS reject and he's been handy for us. Goodness knows we desperately need to improve our midfield, and I reckon Peatling will do that. He could be a 200 game player.
Of course Dan Houston would be a valuable addition, but I suspect Port may want 2 first round picks, much as I'm tempted, I'd rather draft a couple of rookie midfielders.

Yeah. I don't think he's worth it. Stay at GWS.
