Could we grab McQualter?

Post: # 2077456Post TheGreatZacsby »

With Batchelor gone as Sandy head coach. Could we grab McQualter and let him run it or is that a step down for him? Or even move BJ to head Sandy Coach with Lenny as support and make McQualter the Mid coach? Thoughts?

Soft cap is a barrier.

The rumour is Ross is keen to use Mini as a role coach working closely with Sandy to develop role skills of fringe players.

Why is the soft cap an issue

We are replacing a coach- not adding one

Probably gets paid a lot more, especially if you want him to come across so total future salaries exceed current salaries, obviously

We wanted to do that with the last guy but he was a bachelor.

Well that’s the best practice approach used at Norwood.

So, we go to the draft and use our first two rounders to swap for 20 picks in the 70-90 range of picks.

Reported on BF we have employed Jared Rivers (ex Melbourne player) as an assistant coach.

A kind of role player factory?

More like a centre of excellence* at Coopers Centre.

Wild if true. Like North, WCE appears to be where coaches go to die these days.

If I was Mini, a stint at the Saints with the longer term view of taking over from RTB is what I’d be looking at
