Giving up Kennedy

How did that turn out?
They were both pretty handy for their new clubs and Judd even taught everyone about pressure points.

Will we pick up a player in the SSP window :?:

Judd was better at West Coast.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Didn't it work out:
Kennedy, Masten & Notte
verses
Judd & Armfield

WIN/WIN

I always thought Judd was a bit overrated at Carlton. Good by all means but I was bothered when it was alleged he threatened to walk if Carlton didn’t lose Fev after the whole Brownlow debacle.

That Carlton team challenged a bit in the years that followed but they needed a forward that they couldn’t get after they gave away a decent one. I don’t know. Judd seemed to take himself too seriously for mine

If Garcia and Philipou are our Libba and Bont, we're traveling OK. But it will take another season or two.

A big, powerful match-winner type like a Petracca, Bont, Horne-Francis, Dangerfield or the retired Dusty.

Pou is the standout.
Steele has 4 more years of good footy ahead of him.
Garcia is a work horse but doesn't lack pace.
Windhager a defensive workhorse
Clark high impact clearance player

Liam Henry and Jack Sinclair can go on ball in bursts for x factor.

Depth: Dow, Jones.

Wings well under control with Hill, Wood, Byrnes, Nas (when not back)

What we lack is depth and 1 more gun midfielder. Ideally either a mid who hits the scoreboard amd/or is an elite user. The rest of the midfield should see organic improvement, we just can't afford many midfield injuries like we had this year.

West Coast got more years out of Kennedy because Judd's career was half over by the time he moved to Carlton.
If St Kilda had used the pick they gave to Essendon for Carlisle wisely that player would still be on the list.
Trading picks for players half way through their career or even worse past their prime gives a sugar hit but is bad strategy
