Zac v Shiel
I know there is already a Shiel thread
But I just wanted to highlight how good Zac has been in the last month and that i consider the two to be very similar types
They both have excellent acceleration over the first metre, which is vital in the in close contests, to break free. In fact I think Zac is the best at the club for that explosive movement away or through a stoppage.
However Zac is way harder than Shiel and gets up and ground really well
So why would we go for a 32yo injury prone overpaid player when we have our own homegrown player who is better in many regards

Re: Zac v Shiel
Zac's last 20 seconds on Sunday night were pretty good.
Fires off the handball to Higgins for the winning goal then makes the smother on the back flank to thwart Carltons last ditch entry.

Re: Zac v Shiel
The challenge with Zac has never been ability. It’s fitness. He’s played so little over the last few years and was pbly not dedicated to fitness that finally when he got on the park… he was soooo far off the pace it was embarrassing. He looked a shell of himself and was easily on everyone’s delist list.
Once he got himself up to par… he has been out of this world. Like arguably our best overall player for the last month.
Easily better than Shiel IMO. Faster, more damaging. Hope he stays and gets on with it

Re: Zac v Shiel
Is it Zac or Zak?
Zak is not a better mid than Sheil but he is 2 years younger
Zak has dealt with a lot of injury but is a very dedicated trainer
