Honestly, can the credibility of the umpiring get any worse? There is no consistency at all in the decisions made, with 'russian roulette' decisions being made out that defy comprehension on so many occasions.
The AFL have a huge problem in the way they have invested and trained umpires and if this continues, it will drive supporters away from the game.

That would still have been a hurtful loss the way the game panned out, so I am glad we won even though it will cost us an earlier draft pick.
a draft pick 2 higher which doesn’t always mean a better player (Philipou vs Tsatsis anyone)

And I think a slightly harder fixture next year. But honestly who cares... build that winning culture and stick one up the Bluebaggers, it's worth a million bucks.

Loved Pou's game. Heaps of mistakes. But he was involved in all the big moments and didn't shy away.
Most exciting development of the season has been his development. Capped it off today with a bloody solid game. I'm so bullish on the kid. As excited as I've been about a young player since Rooey and co were drafted. Let's hope he keeps developing.

I just paddled my way out of Marvel, on a river of tears from the Carlton fans. With apologies to Toyota, "Oh what a feeling!"
How did you score a ticket? Couldn’t even find one! Saw a lot of empty seats that I could have been sitting on! So mad!

A couple of Caaarlton supporting mates got tickets for me and my son. The downside was we had to sit amongst the Carlton members on level 2.
We had to be measured in our comments, however we had a perfect view of the Higgins, match-winning goal and it was fair to say we let rip when the ball gently floated over the goal line.
It was great to see the agony on their faces when the final siren went. All the big nosed, paper baggers were at their predictable worst throughout the game. The only thing better than Higgo's goal, was the silence it caused amongst them. Da, da, da, da, da, indeed
"There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
We were surrounded by totally silent Blues fans who seconds earlier had been counting down the clock....hilarious...we let them have it, and they couldn't raise a murmur
f*** the draft picks. Leave that to North Melbourne. Better for the team to win the game.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

True tony74 that's why I am happier with the win and avoiding ending the season with a hurtful loss. Self-believe and confidence going forward is more important to our young list.
That win was SO good. Carlton supporters are the most annoying, feral, mob I've ever heard. There's something mentally wrong with them. Virtually every 5 seconds BALLLL!!! FFS. Booing our guys when having a shot at goal. FFS what is wrong with them? They are also the only supporters I've heard yelling bulls*** all as one. What is wrong with them?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
Thought we definitely had the rub of the green early, but when the game was up for grabs in the last, the umpires sided with the sizeable Carlton majority. Not sure we even got a free in the last.
Seems to me they did their best to even up the numbers.
Free kicks finished 15 to 17 our way. I was at the match and I agree I've never heard a crowd like it. I know all supporters are a bit one eyed but they are shockers - I think they had case for some decisions early but almost evened out in the last quarter. Honestly who really knows what holding the ball and incorrect disposal are any more?

You nailed that comment brother.
It’s a lottery.
You know it’s contentious when the whistle is blown and the players don’t instinctively know which way the free kick is going and stand there looking confused.
