Pick 5 or beat Carlton

Been having conflicted emotions the last few days considering what happens if we beat Carlton. Would love nothing more than to ruin their season, but is it worth Sliding to Pick 7? The Demons slaughtered their percentage, and Gold Coast couldn't bury the Tigers, so we'd overtake them both by percentage and sit at 12th. Seen a lot of people saying we'll miss out on some really good kids if we do (Lalor, Langford, etc.)

Obviously SOS and Dalrymple should have a good night at the draft regardless of our picks, but I wanted to get everyone else's opinion. Would you rather have Pick 5/6 and get top tier young talent, or slide all for the sake of beating the baggers to finish the season?

Pick 7* or beat Carlton. Ashcroft and Lombard are both pledged and top 5.

If we win then it’s most likely pick 10. With Isaac kako now looking likely top 10.

So 7 or 10 that is the trade off.

Because I just want us to win and win well. I think some people who want us to lose don't go to games. Go over to Carlton socials and see what they think of us. And they are not alone. If the club don't try today and we lose because of that, that is a shocker. If Carlton are the better team on the day - and they certainly have the motivation - I can live with that, as unpalatable as it may seem.

We can't go out to lose for an unknown quality draft pick. We cannot bank on early draft picks being elite talent that will work for us , been there and done that more than once...we cannot predict the future so we must play in the present.
