Re: Hunter Clark 56% Time On Ground 😱
I’ll let your mental capacity digest that
But keep your criticisms of all St Kilda players, administration and Football Department coming 24/7 on this site
We do understand that from your perspective St Kilda is a rubbish Club which would be better served by being under your exclusive control
But who would want to commit to involvement with such a critical entity such as you is problematic at the very best
Clark is a class footballer, skilled on both left and right which buys him time and sees him impacting as he does, so central to St Kilda winning games of AFL football (yes, he plays very well at the level)
That he lopes is the fact and that is not a detriment
And AFL football, in fact life, is not perfection just as no one has the benefit of hind sight

Re: Hunter Clark 56% Time On Ground 😱
Just on Clark being 'slow'
He had the highest average speed of players out there with a name other than Wilson.
He clocked the top average speed in defensive running of any player on the ground.
Whilst being top 5 for contested possessions.
The high impact/rest approach lines up well with the above. Different players have different roles. Players like Wilson/Hill/Wood can make up the TOG he lacks easily.

Re: Hunter Clark 56% Time On Ground 😱
Clark has never been and will never be an elite runner or have breakaway speed, therefore by managing his minutes it appears the club is able to gain maximum advantage from his TOG which is good asset management IMO.nostalgicsaint wrote: ↑Tue 20 Aug 2024 10:24pm Just on Clark being 'slow'

I'd like to see him rolling between half back and mid next season similar to Sinclair.
How many klms did Clark rack up for the match in comparison to Wilson.
Wilson FWIW is an absolute aerobic beast.
There's only one rule in the jungle! When the LYON's hungry, he eats!

Re: Hunter Clark 56% Time On Ground 😱
What was his peak speed and where was this published?
Are you telling me he was clocked faster than Brad Hill
Who hits speeds of 36kmh which puts him in the fastest 5% of all AFL players

Re: Hunter Clark 56% Time On Ground 😱
I think Clark's running style makes him look slower than he actually is.
He has quite a long stride which means he looks like he is loping along but actually covers the ground quite well.
He doesn't get caught that often even though he is usually working in little space.
