I propose wins for the season be adjusted on a per capita membership basis. That might get us into the 8.
Might also take GWS to minor premiership and rob North of another concessional mid fielder.

They count 3 game memberships. More like supporters but hardly committed members.

There are 38 different membership packages starting as low as $49.
Membership Revenue would be a more accurate measure of club strength.
The membership numbers are important though in terms of funding distribution by the AFL and also meeting ATO obligations for the tax exemption as well as access to government grant applications.
