- Jack Hayes came on and kicked our only goal. Looks like on second gear.
- Hotton had no impact this quarter.
- Isaac Keeler doing well.
- Liam O’Connell went real quiet.
- Arie Schoenmaker went real quiet.

VFL commentators said he is a late out of the Sandy side. So not sure what that means?

Re: Sandy Zebs vs Tiges VFL
FULL TIME
ZEBS - 15.14 - 104
TIGERS - 10.11 - 71
We put the pedal down that quarter. Good win to the boys. Might be still in it to play finals.
AFL Listed Players
- Matty Allison finally had it all coming together. Playing higher up the ground and taking big marks in contests and converted a goal. Played well.
- Riley Bonner was solid. Didn’t warrant a recall into the side.
- Tommy Campbell had a huge game. Played his role well.
- Zaine Cordy nothing amazing.
- Hugo Garcia BOG with another goal that quarter. Amassed 31 disposals and 11 tackles. Was a okay felt every where. Tigers were throwing a lot of players at him. Should play next week.
- Angus Hastie was solid.
- Jack Hayes good first game back from injury. Kicked 2 goals total.
- Hotton had a good game playing full time mid. Garcia is way ahead of him.
- Isaac Keeler kicked three goals and played very well. Had the rotating ruck and fwd role. Will be a star.
- Liam O’Connell was just okay.
- Arie Schoenmaker was just okay.
- Max Hall played okay. 2 behinds and 15 disposals.
NGA / FATHER SON Players
- Lennox Hoffman played half back and looked composed.
- Adrian Cole will come good under Enright.
- Pecket kicked 2 behinds. Looks to be played as a high half fwd.

Heath trained with the injured players at training on Friday, finished off by running a few laps, no idea what his issue was.TheGreatZacsby wrote: ↑Sun 11 Aug 2024 1:24pmVFL commentators said he is a late out of the Sandy side. So not sure what that means?

No worries boys about the reports! I like watching the twos and try to get down when work allows me.
We got something in Garcia! I reckon as he builds his frame he will dominate.

No mention of Seb Ross but I saw somewhere that he got over 20 possessions.

VFL Senior Coach Jake Batchelor outlines every AFL-listed Saint’s performance from the Round 20 match against Richmond.
Isaac Keeler
Three goals, 16 disposals, five hitouts
Isaac played a key forward role this week, finishing up with three shots on goal and nine score involvements which was great to see. He also played as our second ruck where he looked lively. There were some opportunities to find a better a way to bring the ball to ground against a strong intercepting defender but overall, a solid performance.
Jack Hayes
Two goals, 16 disposals, four marks
Great to see Jack back on the track, the boys love playing with him, he really is a competitive beast. There were opportunities for him to polish his work, but he still ended up with three shots on goal and showed a lot of aggression inside 50. Good to tick the first one off and can’t wait to see him level up again next week.
Zaine Cordy
10 disposals, six kicks, three tackles
A solid game from Zaine on Saturday. We saw good moments where he came forward and had impact for us whilst leading a young backline with ease.
Angus Hastie
19 disposals, five tackles, three clearances
Angus spent half his minutes as a wing and half as a half-back playing both roles relatively well. It was great to see his zip and power with the ball in hand. His contest work was also seen to be improving well.
Arie Schoenmaker
21 disposals, 15 kicks, two marks
Arie used the ball well for us on the weekend as we saw him shift angles and set the game up for us. There were opportunities for him to work on his close-in defence with locking out opponents which he’ll look to polish.
Matthew Allison
Two goals, 26 disposals, eight marks
Matty presented well all game as a high half-forward. He was involved in the most score involvements and looked lively all day. He dropped a couple of sitters which could’ve taken his game from good to great, but as always, he was a great teammate, always trying to bring others along with him.
Hugo Garcia
34 disposals, three goals, nine clearances
The best on ground. Hugo was an animal around the contest and found a better balance of inside and outside this week. To kick three goals, have 10 score involvements and 12 tackles as a midfielder was a great effort, he really was everywhere.
Riley Bonner
29 disposals, seven marks, two tackles
A really strong game for Riley and his first in the VFL this year. We were pleased with his leadership and ability to stick to structure when he may have wanted to go away from that. We saw him set up well from stoppage, use the ball well and was strong in the contest, proud of his intent.
Tom Campbell
50 hit-outs, 28 disposals, eight clearances
Was a mammoth game for Tom as he did exactly what was required against an experienced ruckman. He thrives on challenges like that, it’s evident he always wants to be the best teammate possible. There were a couple of opportunities left out there in marking contests that I know he wants to keep getting better at but overall great game.
Oli Hotton
24 disposals, four tackles, seven clearances
Oli started the game really well having an excellent first two quarters as we saw him use his hands and drive his legs powerfully. A four-quarter effort both mentally and physically is the next step we’re after but he’s definitely going in the right direction.
Max Hall
17 disposals, four tackles, three clearances
Max started the game on fire, we love the way he always manages to find a teammate somehow. He probably dropped off a little bit as the game went on but overall, he looked lively as a high half forward for us. We love his creativity with the ball in hand, great to see him back from a back injury.
Liam O’Connell
11 disposals, two marks, two tackles
Liam spent his first half as a defender and second on the wing. We saw another couple of trademark presses and chase down tackles, his effort is undeniable and really inspiring for his teammates. We’re starting to see some free-flowing attack in his game as well so another step forward for Liam.
