He looks too slow and short and, as we saw, couldn't bend down to pick up the ball. But I suppose he is being tested before the end of the season.
Think it’s just experience. There was one earlier in the game too where he absolutely bolted back inside 50 off a turnover to cover the space without realising Taranto was completely free just to his right.

That late goal I think he had the right idea coming off his man as it likely would have spilt out the back for a Tigers goal anyway but didn’t impact the contest which left his man free for an easy goal. All a learning experience for a young player

Nice hey?
You see his mung on the run when he had plenty of time.
Do you think Hill and Mason Wood are kicking at 100% disposal efficiency?
I tell you what I know they at least kick drop punts.

Byrnes kicks mungs.

Yes....ONLY if you ignore every good drop punt from Ryan and ONLY focus on 1 in 8 bad kicks

The fact is he just throws it on the boot in space. When you only get 8 a game I’d at least attempt drop punts

Curly’s footy input to the forum.

1. Umpires cheating against the Saints

2. AFL conspire to keep us down

3. Byrnes is s***

4. Private School Boys blah, blah

Sack Steele from the captaincy, stupid football!
We've handed this game back to them on a silver platter.

Why do you take pleasure in a clanger from a player?

Very strange!

Did Byrnes have his way with a family member and not call her?

What a perfect drop punt that Sinclair waited for rather than attacking

What's worse;

Byrnes trying to snap for goal while there's heat about to tackle him and it went out of bounds on the full....Or

Wood bombs it long to a 2 on 1 to Caminiti and the ball goes up the other end and they score thru Shai?
