Re: Matchday Thread -Saints V Brisbane
Half Time Score,
Saints 1-4-10 v Brisbane 9-3-57
Saints kicked 1 point in the 2nd quarter,
Lions kicked 5 goals 3 in the 2nd.
Could be a belting if they keep this up.

Those things have little to do with Brisbane!

Re: Matchday Thread -Saints V Brisbane
Don’t really want to be winning games at this time of the season but it would be nice to at least be competitive. Lions are taller, faster and stronger not to mention the big gap in skill level so can’t see anything changing in the second half and imagine even the Tigers are looking forward to playing us next week

He has to man up first. He shirks the physical contest and runs like he’s wearing flippers in treacle.

Re: Matchday Thread -Saints V Brisbane
Myself and apparently some others have been kidding ourselves believing we have advanced so quickly, and I wonder what RTB was thinking giving Brad Hill a tagging Role. Hopefully we can have a few better quarters now as we don't need to win, and we had our Grand Final last week.

And either way, they’re been paid to deal with a little pressure.

They seem to me to be trying their guts out but are simply being beaten by a superior side so to call them a joke I find a bit ordinaryThe_Dud wrote: ↑Sun 04 Aug 2024 6:56pmMany of those things are happening under little pressure! The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 04 Aug 2024 6:45pmThat’s what pressure will doThe_Dud wrote: ↑Sun 04 Aug 2024 6:42pmCan’t hold a mark, can’t stick a tackle, can’t hit a target, refuse to run.The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 04 Aug 2024 6:38pm.?? Re: Matchday Thread -Saints V Brisbane
Hi everyone… apologies as I’m not watching the match and haven’t been near my phone to now.
I’ve previously PM’d the relevant people RE the umpire comments on the match thread. My opinion is that everyone has responded very positively to now
Obviously there is a lot of commentary from Curly on the umps today.
I think we’ve had enough on the topic for now. Chances are it’s going to be a miserable 2nd half from what i see so we don’t need any extra frustration so I’ll remove anything that unnecessarily contributes

Re: Matchday Thread -Saints V Brisbane
Brisbane are equally the best team in the competition. Their midfield is vastly superior to ours. We needed to break even in the middle to have a chance, but McInerney's dominance over Marshall has killed us
