Tom Morris. He loves the gossip.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Josh Jenkins is backing it up with we should be looking at it.

Dunno, he's contracted to 2027.and why is it a discussion.
Tom Morris raised it on the weekend and now Josh Jenkins has raised it again.
Someone is driving this - trying to stir up trouble between St Kilda and Steele?
Maybe another Club?
I don't know,
but someone is feeding this to Morris

Re: Steele trade talk
Yeah it was. He used to work at the club so I imagine he still knows people at/associated with the club.
I think it might be bait like that Marshall story. Not really interested in letting him go (especially if the reported interest in shiel is also true), but if another club is willing to offer well overs then we might be tempted to speed up the rebuild

Morris is vermin in the football world. He is learning from Hutchy.

Re: Steele trade talk
Another example of the AFL media having almost zero respect for our club. Pretty f***** insulting.
Best way to shut them up is by getting better. Need to use these last four games to really build into next year. I'd like to think that Jack would take these kind of bulls*** reports pretty personally. Absolute joke.

Re: Steele trade talk
I am not sure it would make any sense for us.
We would require a top 5 pick to consider trading Steele but only a club at the pointy end of the ladder would want to pick up Steele.
The most likely candidate would be Carlton looking for some extra support for Cripps.
Maybe even Geelong and Collingwood looking for one more swing for the fences before they age out of contention.
I just don't think anyone will have the currency we would demand.

Re: Steele trade talk
Let’s see
Our midfield is our weakness
We want to trade out our best mid
You know that makes sense
Is it official- we are rebuilding?!
End of last year we weren’t

The op has a connection with insiders at the club, so he already knew the answer to his questions imoD.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Tue 30 Jul 2024 6:58pmIt's coming from SEN, because their are hundreds of reporters around town all looking fir a different angle.

He knew...before even posing them...he knew before the SEN story yesterday.
Therefore...for him to be putting it out there I reckon it's true that we shopped him around. It's embarrassing that we wanted to trade out our captain last year.

Like he knew with Marshall!
Unless it’s a disgruntled ex employee that has recently left, Morris hasn’t worked at the club for years and the staff have completely changed.
Didn’t Bevo call out Morris for being a dick last year?
Sounds like he was on the money.

Re: Steele trade talk
Morris’ latest on Battle
Josh Battle (St Kilda)
Morris: “I think Josh Battle is more likely to leave, but I don’t know for sure.
“The Hawks are offering good cash. He’s on about $400,000 this year which is why he’s an unrestricted free agent.
“His pay is going to more than double wherever he goes, and even if he does stay.”
It sounds like Morris really knows 3 fifths of sweet f*** all.
Are there any players Sam Mitchell isn’t talking to and trying to get to Hawthorn?
