The defence has been back to its miserable best over the past month, ranked number 1 in the comp. Our forward line seems to be sorted out for the time being, at least (47 goals in our three most recent wins). Now to fix up that pesky midfield that everyone thinks is way worse than it really is.
Let those who are still complaining and critical, we still have to find places for Max King, Liam Henry, Windy, Pou, and Hugo, who didn't even get a run today. Even more cause for enthusiasm. Cop that, doubters!
It's pure bulls*** and blind eye nonsense to keep harping on a presumed fact that our midfield is s***.It isn't.
Steele is a champion and elite. Never plays a bad game. Clarke is verging on an A grade footballer and Windy is..well Windy. Marshall is All Australian and Jones is playing good football.Pou is going to be elite and you can see that Hugo is a player.Add Dow and things aren't looking too horrible.

I'm wondering how many Mercs and BMWs with injector stickers left the car park before 3/4 time.
All of their coterie would've left with rage in their eyes.
They can all suck
They got beaten by a 'rabble' with a boring low-scoring game plan

Yes.
Even the steerage class Bomber fans on the train home that toughed it out were speechless. Almost, almost, felt sorry for them.

Don't want to be negative after the last two weeks and the win against the Swans, but I honestly don't know what we do with King. I honestly feel that we play better without him.

No doubt about that. We need 18 players to be able to run and chase. I remember Paddy Ryder saying that he would be able to tell his kids that he played with Max King. At the time, in 2020, I thought it a funny thing to say and hoped he would be correct. Paddy Ryder gave us a shot at the 2020 flag, and except for a pulled hamstring with less than a minute to go against Footscray, we may well have got there. If we can trade Max King for a top ten pick then we should do it - and pick a midfielder.

What? Like the guy Chris Toce and Chris Liberatore wanted in the first place but was overruled by Lethlean
Did anyone hear that d**khead on Ch7 ??
Story on fan abuse, etc.
Showed the idiots abusing the Injectors as they walked off the ground, down the tunnel
"It's unknown if the abuse came from their own fans of the opposition supporters .."
Two things that really pissed me off
1) of course it was their own fans, you f***wit !!
2) the "opposition supporters" were SAINTS SUPPORTERS, so say that you gutless prick !!
What you do for others will define your life.

There is a clip of the abuse on big footy. Clearly druggy supporters.

Commentators confusion may come from knowing many Injectors had left early....so who was left. Essendon coaching staff possibly.
Why would St Kilda supporters abuse opposition players after the game? Aren’t they busy singing the song and celebrating. Isn’t it much more likely to be their own supporters who are angered after a bad loss and a game they were expected to win?!
Anyway, good to see the media on the case. I’m sure they’ll find the real culprits soon.
Good thinking 99.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.
Media focus in the post game glow of our great victory is how wilfully bad are Essendon.
Strange they can't just see how well we played, put that together with beating a Swans team with Papley two weeks earlier, a % of 100 and how the draw had to normalise Essendon's ladder position.
It's not a calamity or player strike at the hanger it's just we are a much better team right now.
Commentators breathe hyper nonsense and expell hot air at the expense of credibility.
Just acknowledge Saints good, Bombers not so much.

It was a good win mate not being negative, but it was Nth Melbourne remember....
With Dow, Henry & Clarke to come back in, it will sort itself out!

C L A R K.
now that is a real gotcha moment King Max.
I’m sure saynta will ‘dips his lid’ to you
I am still a bit surprised that this win was as easy as it was. The match reminded me of the final round of 2021 when we played Fremantle in Hobart during COVID lockdowns, and they needed to win to play finals.
The margin was similar too and Sharman had another day out as well.
On that day we did Essendon a favour, but not this time.
