Re: Sandringham
Because the seniors are playing on Saturday and Sandringham on Sunday, all the emergencies will get to play a game.
For a welcome change.

Re: Sandringham
Essendon reserves are below us on the ladder, but Sandi will need all hands on deck to get a win. They will need to keep winning to play finals the way things are looking. If they do make the finals how many games does a player have to have played in the VFL to qualify? I'm thinking Jones, Clark, Caminiti, Sharman etc.

Re: Sandringham
Should be prioritising finals for the Sandi boys. I reckon it's time we tanked at senior level. The experience for the younger players will be huge and the exposure for any player we need to trade might score the Saints a handy draft pick or two.SteeleSaints wrote: ↑Fri 26 Jul 2024 11:42pm Essendon reserves are below us on the ladder, but Sandi will need all hands on deck to get a win. On second thoughts.... scratch that. I'd rather Sharman, Clark and Jones keep playing seniors while they're in good form

Re: Sandringham
At the game, conditions haven’t been too bad since midway through the first quarter. Bloody cold but wind isn’t too bad. Poor skills all around though, Garcia looks the cleanest, Keeler been torched a couple of times going forward by bad decision making of others and Allison has spilled a few opportunities.

All over
Sandy Lost 62 - 67
Was it Ari that kicked in from the point and it hit the middle leading to Ollie Lowe's goal in the last?

Re: Sandringham
Ahh bottom team is the Northern Bullants
Essendon now 16 7 - 0 - 9
Sandringham 17 7 - 1 - 9
So similar ladder positions - on their ground that was water logged in rain that was going sideways at one point

Re: Sandringham
Ari worked reasonably hard to get free and provide run from behind and obviously it was a team instruction to get it to him so he can use his kicking as much as possible. Has a lot of talent, but it seems he is sometimes in two minds about a long kick and then sprays it over 30-40 metres. Maybe overthinks things and tries to go shorter at the last second? His torp in the last was a big one.silverhalo wrote: ↑Sun 28 Jul 2024 4:52pm Would love to see Ari come back in and a great game also from Hugo Garcia today - what a little terrier he is, an amazing 14 tackles today!
Also, Bassat was with Ross and co at the top of the stand watching the game.
