Yep. He's not even a saints supporter according to Big Footy where he posts under the nick "cairnsman".
Sick making.

Re: My Boy Coops
Cooper played well, especially in the third
He is not a power forward - not in competition with king

Re: My Boy Coops
His third was very good, was aggressive at the ball which has been my biggest criticism of him. Needs to back up and really be consistent.
Caminiti is looking very likely.

Re: My Boy Coops
Hahaha! Really? Nah. It’s just that there’s a whole heap of actual supporters on here that have no time for your sanctimonious s*** telling everyone with their own functioning eyes how bad a 20-23yo 3rd forward has been for years.
You really are an arsehat and the events at Marvel this arvo have just cemented how poor of a judge of talent you truly are.
Imagine dying on a hill for so long on this issue and having your arse handed to you in this fashion. I’m actually embarassed for you.
PS - missed the bowl like most blokes too. Disappointing but at least I have a Missus

No Shame
No judgement
No money over the bar welsher.
What a jerk.
Entertaining to watch its demise, but.

Re: My Boy Coops
Should get even better with King in the side and everyone plays their role.
Coops was great but let’s be honest with ourselves, Essendon were insipid which allowed for easy transition in the forward 50.
The game reminded me of the big Richmond win in 2017. Essendon aren’t anywhere as good and a good chance to miss finals all together now.

Re: My Boy Coops
Coops got us going. He was the spark. He did it just before half time and then he was on fire in the 3rd quarter.
It says he only took 3 contested marks (10 in total for the day), but to me it seemed like he took more
He lead hard (with a burst of speed) and jumped high enough to be the only Saint player getting his mits on it, amongst 2 defenders at times.
He attacks the footy at pace. He reads the play up the ground and makes good decisions.
Had a hand in half a dozen goals at least

Re: My Boy Coops
Got to make sure we use the multiple options available. If that means that King sometimes is used as a decoy, so be it. Lots of goalkickers is the way forward. Cannot afford to be one-dimensional and look only for King. That strategy is a proven failure.

Re: My Boy Coops
The very definition of a "breakout game". It's been coming all year. We've seen bits and pieces in the past, but today he put it all together. A true 4 quarter performance.
When he starts clunking the speccies he flies for, he'll become a fan favorite. He is also our most reliable kick for goal from the set shot.
As Anthony Hudson called him in his first year when he bagged 4 against norf, "He is the greatest Sharman (showman)". Great, prescient call, Huddo.

Re: My Boy Coops
Yeah agree that Essendon were insipid, something going terribly wrong for them to put in such a weak effort like that and especially puzzling considering a finals birth being theirs for the taking.SaintPav wrote: ↑Sun 28 Jul 2024 1:49am Should get even better with King in the side and everyone plays their role.

We played well, no doubt about it, but they let us do as we please.

Re: My Boy Coops
King is tall, he has the ideal height for a FF .. but does that make him a power forward?
... he doesn't crash packs ... okay, he takes an occasional contested mark if he has a free jump at it, if he's not impeded.
Lockett was a power forward ... at 191 cms.
