If true, be interesting to see how we go without Josh. Badly, I imagine.

In Caminiti
Out Henry
Emerg Heath, McLennan, Dow
No sign of Arie though...
I looked at the review of the Zebs' narrow win,
and Arie wasn't there at all. Was he emerg for our game so couldn't play in the babypoo?

Strange
Not like for like
Caminiti playing well enough to come straight in after injury?
I’d have gone Dow

Re: Team vs Essendon
Caminiti back into the forward line releasing Mason Wood to play further up the ground. Garcia will be sub again.

Re: Team vs Essendon
Caminiti may go to defence to assist Dougs, Cal n Josh- so they can cover Stringer n Draper.
You watch Stringer carefully.
He starts at each centre bounce, then runs to CHF.
Not sure but maybe Caminiti runs with him.
I think Caminiti is a bit taller than Josh

Re: Team vs Essendon
Last time, their Nic Martin got 44 touches at halfback.
Riley Bonner got 31 touches, 960 m gained, but 17 turnovers- highest in AFL since 2012. WTF
I hope he's instructed to kick no further than 20m

Re: Team vs Essendon
Henry out and a tall comes in (?!) Doesn't make sense. Especially when we have Membrey, Owens and Sharman forward...plus we have Wilkie, Battle and Howard down back.
I think Howard takes Peter Wright and Wilkie and Battle take Langford and Stringer.
I'm tipping a late withdrawal. Possibly Dow comes in. Wilkie or Battle out? Hope it's not Marshall

We're not an especially tall side.
In fact our average height is equal second shortest for the round- only the Suns have named a shorter side.

Also which is it.
Lyon is too rigid with selection and like for like?
Or he makes no sense?

It seems odd bringing in Caminiti if he’s not easily assigned a role. What role would you give him?
People are saying that Caminiti will play forward, but I think Ross has spoken about him as a defender. Also Ross Lyon spoke this week proclaiming Owens as a forward. If we assume that Membrey and Sharman are also in the forward line (based on their form in last weeks game) where does that leave Caminiti to play?
If Wilkie, Battle and Howard are fit and playing where would you play Caminiti? Would you prefer that Caminiti takes Peter Wright and one of Battle or Howard floats around as the spare?
Don’t forget that Essendon have dropped Goldie so Marshall doesn’t need as much support in the ruck either.

Re: Team vs Essendon
It's possible that Ryan Byrnes will take up some of Liam Henry's role at stoppages and in attack, leaving Mason Woods to play wing and Caminiti forward.
It will be a good test for Ronnie as he's been playing as well as he ever has since breaking back into the firsts - I hope he continues to improve as that will help to alleviate the team's midfield problems with Brad Crouch's future in serious doubt.

Re: Team vs Essendon
Personally felt we were a KPP short last week.
If he plays forward sharman gets a smaller defender
If he plays back Battle gets a smaller forward
Either way it benefits us.
It hurts us in the middle of the ground and for pace. Guess we're backing in the rest of the mids.

Don’t like 4 tall forwards
Or 4 tall defenders
Ball spends 75% of the time on the deck - need ground level pressure

Re: Team vs Essendon
Our midfield is B grade and that's where we will lose it unfortunately. We are poor at ground level contested balls, and slow with Clark and Steele in there. I fear the Essendons will run us off our feet.
