I don’t think you ever judge a player off 1 game - good or bad
you did downplay his game and I judge a player by his career and cut some slack when needed.
Always been a "Fanboy" of members and delighted with his performance today.
According to some...

Well .... y'know ...one poster in particular...

Membrey's finished.

Done.

Cooked

Teflon will confirm this.

Anyone who thinks differently is a muppet

Particularly against woeful opposition

Last week Tim had 4 possessions
Is Barass "woeful opposition? I wouldn't have thought so.

“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Woeful opposition- we had 75 inside 50s

Jack Regan - the prince of full backs would be useless

Tim played really well, has done throughout his career

This game aside has struggled for the last two years

He was in the VFL three weeks ago

Skunk was amazing and he was obviously enjoying playing, first time I have seen him appear to be enjoy the game for years.

Let's hope he can stay in the same headspace in the future, and If so, it's up to the coaching staff to ensure they have much better plans for Tim and Max when Max returns.

That's inaccurate. Exaggerating the numbers does help your point I suppose.

Membrey played deep and got rewarded. I wonder if our mids would have targetted King differently or if we would have had such a good spread of goal kickers.

Membrey didn't dominate in the air (only 3 of his marks were contested marks) but he played his role. If King replaced him on the day, I wonder if he would have kicked 5? In King's form this year, I doubt it.

We've had really good periods in games this year and dominated play during certain quarters, but haven't been able to get reward on the scoreboard

St Kilda are bottom 4 in the league for shots on goal for the year. We are also bottom 4 for goals per inside 50 compared to the rest of the comp.

It's frustrating watching your team waste opportunities. E.g. first quarter against WC we had 21 i50's for only 3 goals.

It was really good for the team to put together a very good second half and a very potent last quarter. Good for confidence and good to practise creating scoring opportunities.

Often forwards are a product of midfield supply

King might have kicked 10 or he may have kicked 0

Btw
The 75 i50s was a guess - we actually had 67 - so not far off

Tim had a great game
But we don’t measure players in games against teams who have won 8 of their last 60 games

So you do measure players on their performance against bottom teams?

He played a great game, vs the Eagles

Just 7 days ago he got 4 possessions 0 goals vs Adelaide

14 days ago was in the vfl

Keep it in perspective fanboy

How many times do I have to tell you that I measure a player over his career and his potential worth
One bad game..3 bad games but I remember all the good ones ,he has had plenty and he just put in a ripper so unlike you I won’t use negative reasons to explain why he has had a good one
I don’t like your perspective so don’t force it onto others
Actually I find you to be a miserable piece of work…and yes I just played the man

And the weather conditions last week versus the conditions this week under the roof?

Surely this would have impacted a 188cm forward?

But perhaps not

I’m not miserable

Just realistic

We are 15th, we just beat 17th

Tim (one of my fav players over the past decade) is towards the end of career. Hence, he has been in the VFL this year and last. Like Billings and Ross (two other favs) his best is behind him.

When he has his exit meeting with Ross - his whole year will be reviewed- not one game vs a basket case.

Tim will be at another club next season imo as will Seb
