What a strange, strange thing to pick up.
Just under half the comp is an "interstate" team.

Wonder how Sydney cope when they go on extended run of games between GWS games!
But 5 in a row ffs, come on.

I only picked up on it after someone else mentioned it, but no apology from me mate.

Don't crowd numbers matter to you?
How many in-a-row is acceptable?
Crowd numbers at the start of the season matter more than those in July.
Team performance has a bigger influence on crowd numbers.
We had 30k last week v Sydney. That's not a bad crowd given our efforts this season.

Play better and the crowds will come.

What is the benefit of Jones keeping his spot?
There is absolutely no upside for that. Give his spot to a kid.
Hit us up again after selection Thursday
I think he will be picked ...sub at the very least
I fear you may be correct. Jones will be delisted at year end though so selection would be a head scratcher.

this time of year is always a little difficult as what message do you send if players play well and get dropped while others get games they haven't earned.
Shocking weather Saturday night didn't help. The same Membrey first game back last week that was very important is not out is an example of knee jerk fan reaction.

Out : Bonner ( just give over the photos you have ) Paton, Wilson (rested)
In: Allison, Hill, Garcia

Jones was solid - some mistakes late in game but was reasonable. Gone at year's end agree.
Ross was good again in 2s who does he come in for?

Need to look at Allison before delisting
Why?

He's being delisted for a fairly obvious reason.

People who have watched all 4 years of his Sandy games know he's a fair way off AFL place.
Being delisted is he?

Heath, Ross, Garcia, Stocker, and Hastie in.

Awful game against Adelaide to be a forward. Only 39 inside 50 entries and half of those were shitthouse

Still...I'd give Moose a game next week and give Membrey a rest. Give Webster next weekend off too so the two mates can do an all night session

If Stocker isn't fit, Timmy goes fishing without Jimmy.

If Liam Ryan is playing we need either Paton or Webster in the team
Paton is a liability

If wishes were fishes:
Caminiti and Dow. Please get fit soon.

Love to see McLennan.

The affection the selectors have for R. Bonner to pass.

Three changes; make them significant.

And if wishes were horses......

If there's a game to drop it's this one. Expect West Coast to come home theh back end of the season with a wet sail and jump us on the ladder.

Paton went a bit harder at the contest than a lot of his mates the other night when he came on, and will hold his spot as I think Jones will now Pou is injured. Wilson looks like he has dropped off a little, and a trip to the VFL will benefit him. I think Lyon is at the stage of trying anything in desperation now, so who knows what the team will look like.

Understandable but pretty underwhelming, sadly. Doesn't reflect much progress for this year. Unless Ben Paton has a great end to the year. And Mitchito comes good.
Year of exploration morphed into discovery of quicksand?

Those three emergencies are playing seniors every day of the week for mine.

Never gift games - it doesn’t help develop players

Wilson needs a spell

The logic cuts both ways- I'd argue whoever you replace him with would be being gifted a game.

Collard barely touched the ball in a Sandy v Box Hill game, yet got a senior game next week and did very little- desperation again by Lyon looking for quick fixes. Pou at least worked on his game at VFL level to get back into the seniors. I agree that Wilson needs a spell, and I think Hastie should get another senior game.

Garcia has earned a call up - he’s been excellent in the seconds

Ross has been BOG in the last two games at Sandy

Allison has now kicked 5 twice at Sandy

Hotton had his best game for Sandy on the weekend

And kicked 5 a few weeks ago

I have forgotten the definition: what does selection integrity mean currently.

Whatever it is, is it influenced by no chance of finals and decisions also made about several de-listings, or do we go down with all guns and not-so-guns blazing.

Personally I'd rest the not-so-guns and get the possibly will-be-guns onto the firing range.
I'm also last in tipping and still have trouble working out tactics until half time, so expect to be wrong.

You select a side to win

During the afternoon and early evening in Adelaide last week it was dry, noting the dew forming saw players in the SANFL slipping over when changing direction late in those games

Then it started bucketing down - and I mean bucketing down

This week we play under the roof at Docklands

I'm excited yet nervous about who comes in.

Does anyone think Membrey gets dropped?
