Harley Reid copped 2 weeks
Is this the same sort of tackle action that cost Harley Reid a 2 week suspension?
Not saying I didn't enjoy watching it, but it looks like a dangerous tackle to me. He did hit his head didn't he?

No!

All we ask is consistency. I thought Wilson had his arms pinned by Harley, but on replay it doesn’t appear so.

The only thing that would prevent Cameron from getting 2 weeks would be AFL corruption.
What a pity Daicos didn't get two of concussion as well.

Re: Harley Reid copped 2 weeks
I don’t pretend to understand how the whole dangerous tackle works/ doesn’t work.
If Daicos doesn’t roll like a gymnast and hit his head on the ground and is concussed, Cameron gets suspended, as it stands I don’t think he gets any repercussions.
How does a player stop a raging bull 90kg 193cm athlete in a fair tackle while showing duty of care to ensure they are not injured?
As long as it’s not a dangerous action like pile drive, sling tackle (head/ neck injury) or drop tackle (lower leg breaks and knees) if there is an accidental injury it is part of a collision based contact sport IMO.
At some stage there needs to be acceptable technique and not, right now the same tackle technique could be ignored 20 times then see a player suspended for an identical action if the player he tackles hits his head on the ground.
It is beyond my comprehension to rectify, all I know the current system is confusing and inconsistent.

Re: Harley Reid copped 2 weeks
Another dirty high hit from Tom Stewart Friday night.
The MRO would have handed any other player an automatic 1 week suspension
