The quarter time break mucked up their game, didn't look like it after that.

it's a winter game but not up to it in the wet.

Six debutants for the Saints so far in Season 2024. :D

When we know we're going to be playing in the wet....AND at night (which is usually slippery regardless) they should be training in those conditions.

I don't see why it would be so revolutionary. Tell the team they need to take the morning off on a Thursday and train at night. I suppose logistically, I can understand if it's too hard for physios and support staff to also change their schedule.

A Richo-era game with a Richo-era result. Exactly the sort of nostalgia we don't need.

Well, locked in pick 4.

In case it wasn't obvious, proved we need several bigger bodied players.

Beaten by a team of stronger and smarter players, but we won the battle for pick four.

Ground level forwards who need to thrive in the wet conditions

Were completely ineffective.

Owens is SLOW!!!

Membrey cooked

Sharman started well then drifted out of the game, wood was ok

Schoey and Wilson struggled - I keep saying it - Wilson needs a rest, should be dropped on form if we there was selection integrity

Bonner - the less said the better

I think the Adelaide players on average had significantly more lower body strength .. you just have to look at the size of a half a dozen or so of their players legs and hips.
It means they held their ground and pushed through better than we did in the wet.
It was a factor.

Windhager would have been handy in those conditions

At least he would have got hold of Laird around the contest

Not sure who was playing on Keays ...whoever it was they were beaten badly

I think most teams look stronger and bigger bodied than us for some reason. Don't they have weights down at the club?

I learnt that Marshall doesn't know how to mark the ball in wet weather. 47 hit outs is good but, so what, did we win the clearances?

Anyway, disappointing game and disappointing thread. Only 6 pages (as I write)???

Haven’t played the Crows at Marvel since 2019.

The fixture is a f****** joke.

Stocker would have been an ideal player to select ... he's solid - at least he would have held his ground.

Poor selection to go with the poor coaching.

I agree
Against most sides I think we look undersized

We failed to capitalise on a good start. It shows we go into our shell as soon as we're in front. That's ingrained and that needs to change.

Too many passengers. We failed to support each other.

We're disconnected. Bonner shouldn't get another game based on tonight

39 x inside 50's for a whole match is deplorable. We failed to put them under any scoreboard pressure.

We failed to do the basics after the 15 minute mark of the second quarter.

Don't think body size matters. Just pour (sic) skills in the conditions.
Thread omitting Henry and Wood. Both worst game this season.
Will be Jones last game.
Bonner's deliberate giving away the first goal was probably the lowest footy IQ action of the season. Take possession and the tackle out of play FFS.

We will only win one more game for the year and that’ll be a lack lustre-15pt win against WCE.

Wasn't expecting to win, we always lose to opponents near our ladder position. It's almost too common to be a coincidence.

Expect another loss next week, all part of the grand plan.

Look in reality it’s a good outcome
We are a middle of the road team that need more talent and definitely a mid or 3
Pou looked clean in wet - sign of class
Clark too - just wish he’d get it in to the boot a smidge quicker
An LDU to give us some mid breakaway would’ve been nice

Pretty sure that has been our choice as we have sold games.

2019 - Marvel and Adelaide
2020 - Adelaide
2021 - Cairns
2022 - Adelaide
2023 - Adelaide
2024 - Adelaide

So I agree on the last 3 years - and I agree on your sentiment!

Is the Clark the player who has had the most smothers/touched against him of any footballer?
