What yesterdays great gutsy win showed was the importance to the team structure of role players.
Ryan Byrnes is a prime example. He is not in the best 22 purely on talent, however I feel we are a better side when he plays. His gut running, spread and straight line at the ball adds something which we don't have otherwise. I think he also went to Gulden in the last qtr and nullified him.
Butler and Higgins hunting at ground level is another aspect often missed when they don't hit the scoreboard. I think last week Butler had 6 tackles including 3 or 4 run downs.
Membrey hit up work in the second half was again important, dragged the swans defenders with which allowed the ball to get out the back or had the lead honoured.
I think sometimes people get caught up on talent alone and the fact is to be successful it is the sum of all parts.
