Not hard to notice that anytime the Saints get a run on the maggots intervene to slow us down or try to turn the game.

With all due respect Dud, for every post that Curly posts RE the umps you quote it
Every post from Curly on the umps is typically critical, your every response is either affirming of the umpires or having a crack at Curly

There have been quite a few instances where I’ve reached out to Curly and asked him to tone it done and his volume has decreased markedly but regardless, his every post is still quoted… and I’ll point out that his absence in this particular thread/discussion should also highlight that you both continue with the umpire conversation across multiple threads… just opposite sides of the same coin.

I’m not one for generally laying into the umps, blaming them for losses etc but even I wonder sometimes if biases/agendas come into play based on some stinkers of performances.

I can’t say that I see a great deal of difference between the behaviour you’re criticising and the one you’re engaging in.

There’s are a lot of instances on this forum where people are asked to change particular posting habits/characteristics because others find it disruptive or adversely effecting their experience on the site and forumites refuse to do it. Maybe it’s a case of having to better ourselves (I’ve certainly had to) rather than feeding into long standing grievances. Food for thought.

We got smashed on inside 50s and scoring shots though. They’re really the two most important stats (& of course, conversion).

Spot on. Our inside 50’s count was low. Only 41 to us. Sydney had 54.

We controlled the footy in the second half. A lot of running to provide a marking option. A lot of uncontested marks.

We also beat them for contested ball and our pressure and tackling was off the charts.
