Ross 2.0, Harves, Goddard, Lenny Hayes

Post: # 2068226Post WellardSaint »

Ross came back to Moorabbin for unfinished business.
He nearly got us there twice, and now he's back to get that elusive 2nd cup.
A man on a mission.
Harves was an assistant at another club, which sent him back to us with their blessing.
Harves has Saints in his DNA.
Lenny Hayes- Norm Smith medal in 2010. Dyed in the wool Sainter.
Goddard- had gone to the Injectors but loves the club dearly.

'The band is back together' announced Bassat.
A sponsor's wet dream, and the diehard fans' prayers answered.

We all think that 'outsiders' coaching us are only in it for the $$, they aren't heart and soul.
We've got true Saints at the helm now.
These men love the club, and they will march us up the ladder like nobody else can.

Well, a year and a half later, we're 14th and facing a juggernaut- this could get ugly.

Has the romantic notion of pure Saints in charge been the worst move in years?

Is it like finding your old 1984 V8 Commodore up for sale? And you wanna buy it to recapture the magic of the weekend drives along the Great Ocean Rd, the trips to Philip Island, the drive-ins with your girlfriend?

Those days are memories now. You're older.
The car isn't the same. It's changed. You've changed.

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤🤍🖤 and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.
Remember one of the 10 Commandments : Thou shalt have no other team before thee

It's as obvious as Joe Biden's dementia that Robert Harvey is ill-suited to the role of forward-line coach.

Goddard is ssaddled with a workmanlike group of midfiled players so the jury's out.

A seeming lack od development under Lenny is a concern.

But six losses under 10 points ... if King was hitting the scoreboard we'd probably have won four of them. If other young players had improved as much as we'd been expecting we might have won all six.

Why put them in wrong holes to start with?

Sorry, I thought you were referring to assistant coaches.
I'm all for trying young players in a variety roles before settling in one, that's why I'm surprised they've taken so long to consider King as a relief ruckman.
