Ryan Angwin

Post: # 2068018Post nostalgicsaint »

GWS player right on the fringe. Might be worth pursuing as a restricted free agent.

21 years old
20 games into his career. Sub affected statistically but often the 22nd, 23rd or 24th best player available at the giants this year.

Bio (GWS player profile)
A left-footer with silky skills, Ryan Angwin is a versatile footballer with a high footy IQ. After managing just one game in 2022 due to a fracture in his lower leg, Angwin added 15 games to his career tally in 2023, often used in a variety of roles by coach Adam Kingsley. A composed decision maker who is creative by foot, Angwin is also a great athlete, highlighted by his strong time for the 2km time trial.

STRENGTHS (via rookie me)
Courage
Endurance
Upside
Footy smarts
Work rate
Aerial ability

What makes him a free agent this year.
He is 21. Unless he was delisted at some point of his career, he won’t be a free agent.

Out of contract at the end of the year, but not a free agent.

I had read somewhere he was a free agent.

Got that wrong.

Regardless as an out of contract player- he is the next best thing.

GWS player on the fringe. Young talent.

If all you're after is sure things, that cost little you're going to continue to be disappointed BM.
