2022 vs 2023 draft

Post: # 2066437Post B.M »

IMO

Watching Sandy and StK - all of the 2023 draft kids have debuted - only Phillipou from 2022 has (and is in the VFL this week)

I am certain all 2023 graduates will make the grade
Wilson - Wing - already a player
Collard - Small Forward - shown enough in the VFL
Hastie - HB - shown AFL capacity
Garcia - HF/Mid - will definitely make it
Schoenmaker - AFL capability- too good for VFL - made transition to AFL easily

Problem is
Collard will possibly go back to WA - something concerning about his body language
Schoenmaker- will be a Tassie target

2022
Phillipou - is having his struggles atm but has clear AFL attributes
Hotton - played 1 cracker VFL game - but really has struggled - has had injuries
Van Es - in his early VFL games - struggled - major injuries
Keeler - could be Spencer white or Paddy Ryder?
He shows some terrific signs but has a long way to go - played out of position imo.

Then you’ve got the 2021 draft class - which we nailed

2020 - Bust year

2019 - we had no picks and got depth player Ryan Byrnes at 53
