Finals team
Is this a team capable of playing deep finals
B:Wilkie (31) - ????? - Stocker (27)
HB: Nas (24) - Schoenmaker (22) - Sinclair (32)
Foll: Marshall (32) - Steele (31) - Windhager (25)
C: Henry (26) - Phillipou - Wilson (22)
HF: Owens (25) - King (27) - Garcia (22)
F: Keeler (23) - Caminiti (23) - Collard (22)
Int: Dow (28) - Clark (28) - ????? - Hastie (22)
Unsure on
Byrnes (26) Paton (28) Hall (26) Higgins (28)

IMO
4 of the next 12 draftees - need to be A Graders in a similar

Re: Finals team
Would that team make the finals, that's what i'm wondering.
The list changes for 2025 have begun, always an interesting time for an avid supporter.

Re: Finals team
Not yet, but if they're well developed and well coached it could be the bones of a prelim and hope to snag it from there. Beyond that you would have to be a dominant side with stacked draft picks, academy, and father sons.

Re: Finals team
I know BM won't agree with me, but I think Howard (31) could be in that side. I certainly don't think we should waste any draft picks or cap space on trying to recruit an alternative tall backline player: the only ones we are likely to recruit are unlikely to be much better.
Butler will only be 31 in 2027, so he might be a chance I reckon.
I'm not yet convinced that Dow is a finals player, and not at all convinced that Collard is any good at all. Phillipou and Hastie are also by no means certain.
Sadly, I doubt any of your 8 uncertains are going to be in a finals team. Higgins and Paton are the most likely.

Re: Finals team
Seen enough in the VFL to suggest
Phillipou, Hastie, Collard, Schoenmaker, Garcia will all make it.
Collard might be in WA
Arie in Tasmania
Though

Re: Finals team
Yes
From what I understand
He is a certainty to be a Hawthorn next season
Which is disappointing

Re: Finals team
Well, one thing is for sure, the Suns won't play finals this season. They suck.

Speaking to him in the rooms last night after the game it didn't seem like he wanted to play anywhere else but with us...

Re: Finals team
Did you see Collard's goal at Moorabbin yesterday, Meher? What Collard can do can't be taught. It's an innate skill. He is lightning in a bottle. If he hadn't been burned by teammates down at Geelong in round 1, he would have kicked two goals.meher baba wrote: ↑Sat 08 Jun 2024 8:28pm I know BM won't agree with me, but I think Howard (31) could be in that side. Re: Finals team
Hawthorn have offered him 5 with a trigger for a sixth on big money. We have also made a significant offer - which his manager has knocked back.
Normally if they haven’t signed by the bye
They are Max Gawn
