If Ross Lyon is feeling it
Then imagine how Alistair Clarkson is feeling watching Harley Reid thrilling the crowd In Perth. He must be kicking himself and if he's not, he has a queue of Noth Melbourne officials and supporters behind him, happy to do the the job for him.
He's had his Petracca/Bontompelli moment

It may we'll go down as the c**k up of all c**k ups. Reid is Judd, Bontompelli, and Dusty all wrapped up in the one package. Destined for greatness

Harley is a Victorian ... doubt there was a go home problem there for North

Re: If Ross Lyon is feeling it
More a 'concern' that he'd want out at the first possible option.
Let's face it, very few will likely be surprised when he requests a trade from WCE to a 'big' Victorian Club.
How crushing would it be for North if, after the Horne-Francis debacle, they selected him and he wanted out after 1 or 2 years?

If Harley does a Judd (comes back to Victoria) there will only be a few Vic teams in the hunt ... the usual big 4 or 5 ... he was a Geelong supporter growing up

Clarko said the win was more important than Harely Reid.
I know hindsight is a marvellous thing but I wonder how important that win feels now.

He can write his own ticket anywhere.
If he has half a brain or his manager has, he will be refusing to discuss contracts until the end of next season.
The Vic clubs will be frothing at the bit and offering stupid money which West Coast will have to match to keep him.

Re: If Ross Lyon is feeling it
For what it's worth I live in Perth and occasionally run into ex West Coast players, and they all say he will be part of West Coast next dynasty....and I wouldn't put it past themSinCitySainter wrote: ↑Tue 21 May 2024 5:42pmHe can write his own ticket anywhere.

Western Australia can offer alot to the lad, now and beyond, and If he's smart he will stay at West Coast
And I'm happy to wager that he will
Look out kids, they keep it all hid

Re: If Ross Lyon is feeling it
Well he's pretty homesick. Said his birthday spent in Perth was the worst ever. They let him go home on the week off.
