Game for Positivity
Hi all,
I have managed to convince my wife and 3 year old daughter to join me for my first live game of the season tonight.
I haven’t been feeling very good about the season so far, so I’d figure I would try to hype myself up by focusing on the positives.
So, tell me SS. Give me reasons to get psyched about tonight.
(Please, keep it positive. There are a few posts on here that I can go if I want to crawl into the dark hole of being a saints fan)
I’ll kick it off.
- I get to see Dow’s first (hopefully of many) game in the RW&B

Re: Game for Positivity
Dow in, let's see what he can do
Collard to kick goal of the year tonight, hopefully not starting as the sub
Wilson another Rising Star winning performance
We kick over 10 goals, Max kicks 5
Stay Positive, Sainters
Worst case it's just a game and you get to spend time out and about with your wife and kid. More important things in life than sports, despite what misery here would have you believe

Re: Game for Positivity
Marvel stadium has a roof, so it is not as cold as other grounds.
You will be able to find good seats as the ground will be half empty.
If you drive to the game you can park underneath and never have to go out into the cold (one of the things I like most about Marvel, though the name is stupid).
The game should be close because they are awful away from WA, and we are just awful.
The girl in the coffee stand on level 3 made a semi-decent coffee at the North game, and they have improved some of the food options.
There you go, they are all positives.

Re: Game for Positivity
Yep looking forward to seeing Dow
I think Henry will be worth watching closely, hoping he puts in a similar performance to the one against the Pies being up against his old side.
Windy will be worth watching closely, he hopefully is close to exploding in an attacking way.
Our forwards are coming up against a really talented backline playing well, can King and Co fire?

So I should change my tip?
Tip with the head - go tribal with the heart!
“Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown, ignorance can be educated, and drunkenness sobered, but stupid lasts forever.”
― Aristophanes
If you have a Bee in your Bonnet - I can assist you with that - but it WILL involve some smacking upside the head!

Re: Game for Positivity
Max v Pearce will be a contest worth witnessing live.
Steele v Fyfe
Brayshaw v Windhager
See how Dougal approaches the job on Amiss/Treacy.
Caminiti is always fun to watch and a bit like Forest's box of chocolates.
Henry down one end, Walters the other.
Wilson
Real debut of Collard
Sharman back in the fold
Lot to take in
Freo going for the 8, us stroking for the lifebuoy, bit of desperation will be on show.

I reckon we’ll win tonight…
Am loving the selected team - very well balanced. Feel like it will be a good show for us.

Re: Game for Positivity
If Freo doesn't have the game sewn up by half time then that will be a positive.
The list changes for 2025 have begun, always an interesting time for an avid supporter.
