Re: The Jimmy Situation
Is there an appropriate match up for Paton and is he more suitable than someone else?

Re: The Jimmy Situation
Multiple goals kicked by these guys last week: Larkey, Zurhaar, Duursma.
And the week before: Larkey, Curtis.
The case for Paton is pretty good. You could almost bring in both Paton AND Webster.
I don't think we need all of Howard, Cordy, Wilkie and Battle down back. Howard matches up well on Larkey so I think Cordy comes out.
Stocker has really been on his own down there defending small forwards.
We can also release Stocker to the midfield a bit more.
Garcia and Collard to small forwards.

Re: The Jimmy Situation
Some people have rated Bonner's games but I struggle to see the positives. He has no defensive game at all and plays a bruise free timid game IMO. We need an effective lockdown small defender so I think if Webster is ready he comes straight in to replace Bonner or Stocker.
Bonner is a stats padder and would be a good back up for Naz if unfit, but otherwise he should be playing VFL IMO.

Completely agree. Bonner seems like a poor man's Shane Savage. We'd be far better off long term playing Schoenmaker in that role.SteeleSaints wrote: ↑Wed 01 May 2024 10:10am Some people have rated Bonner's games but I struggle to see the positives. That said, I think Paton or Webster replace Bonner, and Stocker stays in.
