We won't know until 30min before the bounce, but he is named on the bench.
IMO Jones or Butler should be the sub.

Re: Team vs Dogs
It seems to me that the sub could be one of Jones or Garcia. I doubt that it would be Butler: having a goal sneak as sub seems pointless to me. If the coach isn't happy with him, then don't pick him at all.
I suppose it could also possibly be Sharman, but that also seems to be a bit pointless. Positional players should play the entire match IMO: the subs should normally be utilities or mids.

Interesting that Jamarra is out.
If someone can recall, Jamarra pointed at someone in the crowd for racial vilification last time he played the saints?

How frustrating being a coach at the selection table and not have virtually no options for making changes.

Arie tearing up VFL
First choice full back available for selection
Butler 1 possession, 1 tackle
Forward/Ruck relief back from injury and has played 2 VFL games
Plenty of options.

Not sure Doug’s and certainly Hayes are completely match fit at the moment. Probably need another week or two in the two’s.

Jamarra out, is great for us.
He's potentially a 3-4 goal guy, and can set up others.

Butler should be the sub.
Garcia, the teenager, did a lot more in limited time.
I've never been a fan of Butler, far too showy and tries all the trick shots

Need more out of Syncs, he's well down on AFL averages and his previous standard.
Jones is extremely lucky to be getting a game.
Our ball movement has been very poor.
Basic skill errors and fumbling.
Clean that up and we are a chance especially with their two massive outs.

Re: Team vs Dogs
Phillipou might make the most sense as sub.
Short break means all of Jones (lower level), Garcia (Sub) and Butler (Subbed out) are likely less sore and better rested than the other bench options.
Pou could come on and have an impact in a variety of roles and Jones can take the mid time he took last week.

According to vortex ..the team needs to lift across the ground to get a win ..Vortex wrote: ↑Wed 17 Apr 2024 8:37pmNeed more out of Syncs, he's well down on AFL averages and his previous standard.

Re: Team vs Dogs
Hayes hopefully improves us but his body holding up is the big concern, could take a while to get back up to speed too.

Re: Team vs Dogs
Jones sub for me. I'll back Butler in for a little longer, to be honest we are carrying him a bit but he is valuable at his best and has been highly interupted.

I think butler is lucky to get a game atm and I’m going to use a quote from a self-professed wise one on here “ i’m happy to be wrong”

Yes agree Butler using up all his goodwill.
He would want to get a few on the scoreboard this week.
Collard unlucky he got injured at Sandy last week.
