Re: Windhager 1 match suspension
Durham falls - holding his head - gets u (after an acceptable time to prove not staging) and then immediately fires a PERFECT hand pass out - no glassy eyes - no head wobbles - no problems - it was a glancing blow - but it is the POTENTIAL to injure.
Michael Christian come on down - use St Kilda as another example to exonerate the AFL for all of it's past indiscretions in relation to CTE

You can all sook it up as much as you like, but I bet London to a brick that if Durham got Windy in the same way, you'd all be OK with the one game suspension.
Totally avoidable act by Windy.

Re: Windhager 1 match suspension
Let's see if Baker from Richmond gets a week.
If not, because it's on the same level as Max's, then there has to be serious questions.

Re: Windhager 1 match suspension
Nope - if Windy was concussed - HELL YES - I would scream for blood - I fear for our game when POTENTIAL to cause injury becomes the prime factor - but you can open handed punch someone to the guts.Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Sun 31 Mar 2024 6:30pm You can all sook it up as much as you like, but I bet London to a brick that if Durham got Windy in the same way, you'd all be OK with the one game suspension.

Intent v POTENTIAL - maybe we are targeting the wrong area.

Re: Windhager 1 match suspension
So hopefully Baker is suspended (if the MRO are consistent he should) and it looks like Lynch has done a hamstring

Bad coaching
Ross all at sea with Windy suspension
And goal kicking
And collision injuries
Not good nuff

Re: Windhager 1 match suspension
Seems to me that the mistake here is that Windhager turned instead of catapulting into the air and grabbing his leg like he’d broken it.

Well if he is as innocent as some say then let’s see if the club appeals

Simple solution. Change your name to Patrick Dangerfield and all will be well.

Remembering David Mackay cleaning up Hunter Clark -- no suspension.
Meanwhile, Pendlebury's gut punch -- no charge, of course.

Re: Windhager 1 match suspension
Even a couple of my Essendon-supporting mates thought this one was rough. Maybe Michael Christian is given a quota every round. He can’t penalise Dingleberry and a St.Kilda player is expendable. Bloody AFaiL!!

Is this SydneySainter for reals? I dont get it.Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Sun 31 Mar 2024 5:59pmThat is just factually incorrect.SydneySainter wrote: ↑Sun 31 Mar 2024 5:53pm At the moment, we’re poorly coached, amongst other things.
Why all this bitching? We are 100% rebuilding. RTB wants to win like everyone, but he is actually playing youth...ROSS LYON is playing youth...read that 600 times...
I mean imagine him making these choices in the past?
Imagine what we will be in years to come as the lads hit 75 games...Im excited

Re: Windhager 1 match suspension
Why do you get the opportunity to make an early plea for a high contact offence that is graded careless and low impact?

Re: Windhager 1 match suspension
Not sure if it's been mentioned at all here but Perkins definitely pushes Windy into Durham - Saints should appeal and base their defence on that.

What 2 losses by a goal or less. Blame it on the players that can't kick it straight and for Membrey who had a shocker.SydneySainter wrote: ↑Sun 31 Mar 2024 6:01pmRoss Lyon is a good coach, but at the moment, I believe we’re poorly coached.Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Sun 31 Mar 2024 5:59pmThat is just factually incorrect.SydneySainter wrote: ↑Sun 31 Mar 2024 5:53pm At the moment, we’re poorly coached, amongst other things.
I think Ross can turn it around, he has before.

Re: Windhager 1 match suspension
I noticed that at the time - thought Windy was pushed - not enough to be in the back - but then saw Durham go low.silverhalo wrote: ↑Sun 31 Mar 2024 11:55pm Not sure if it's been mentioned at all here but Perkins definitely pushes Windy into Durham - Saints should appeal and base their defence on that.
I can't believe Michael Christian did not see that - or does he get AI to make his calls?

At least Lynch and Balta out for them now
Dusty no certainty …
Need to win this as I can’t see us winning any of next 3, Dogs, Port (in port) and GWS
Be a miracle to be 3-3
I feel a 2-5 coming on before we hit Nth
Gotta stay competitive as we have last 9 at Marvel with BBC a stack as home games too
