I'm not sure that Brad is a club great. Anyway, footy is a ruthless business. I'm happy to give players, especially club greats all the respect they deserve however nothing should get in the way of a Saints premiership. NOTHING. eg. If a club offered a top 5 pick for Steele I would take it. If Gold Coast offered pick 3 and pick 4 for Ming I would take it. One of the pillars of Stoicism / Buddhism is to avoid attachment. No player is bigger than the greater good of St Kilda Footy club and their quest to win a second premiership hopefully within my lifetime. And as far as every other Victorian club, who by the way have all won premierships in my lifetime, they can all GAGF......saynta wrote: ↑Fri 08 Dec 2023 10:07amHow about you concentrate on the year ahead and at the same time give a bit of respect to club greats like seb and Brad.NickyDal wrote: ↑Fri 08 Dec 2023 12:43amMy main man saynta. My suggestions.....
Seb Ross - will be 31 on May 7th 2024. If we could get a pick in the 20's I would trade him.
Bradley Hill - will be 31 on July 9th 2024. If we could get a pick in the 20's I would trade him.
Go to the 2024 Draft with our FRDP, our SRDP plus 2 picks in the 20's.
Then the hard part is nailing all those picks. But imagine if we did?

I reckon Ross the cuddly one era is over. No more nice guy. And thank goodness for it. We need ruthless focus and singleminded tunnel vision now. Will the mid-2020s allow it? Will players and managers and the media cry foul?
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Hill is vital for the fortunes of several of our young indigenous players staying at the club, and in their development. Hill therefore is going nowhere.
Besides a player like Hill could play for many years yet.

Hi everyone, I’m going to lock this thread as it’s not only gone off course but we’re now getting into commentary about other forumites that aren’t part of the thread. My feeling by and large is that most here would prefer it if the forum steered away from that in general. PM me or hit me up on the mod thread in the admin forum if you want to discuss further.
